I have been wanting to try brunch here for quite a while now. The photos on social media always look so tantalizing. Finally got there this Thanksgiving weekend and WOW is all I can say! Fabulous French food yet casual atmosphere with excellent, friendly service. I highly recommend it and I know I'll be back there again soon! One other point to note...they do brunch every day, not just on weekends. Yay!
Fabulous place. Fabulous food. I've tried everything on the menu, and everything is great. Good job chef. Thanks for such treat
Can't say enough about how amazing the food was. The location is not what you'd expect for the quality of food being served. Delightful family run business. We stopped by unexpectedly - after stopping into MEC then searching for top rated food in the area. Really should have made a quicker stop but it ended up being on of the best things we've discovered this summer. Planning our next trip to Vancouver around eating here again. See you soon.
The food is excellent and the service is great! I would strongly recommend this place.
The food here is amazing! I came for lunch, and was not disappointed in the slightest! They were able to make menu adjustments for a friend who is Celiac without any issue, and even gave us a complimentary dessert, which was incredible! The food was delicious and the service was great - I will definitely be back!
Simply amazing! This place is a hidden gem! Amazing French cuisine, friendly service and affordable prices!
One of the best brunches ANYWHERE! The location is convenient and a little odd but once inside you've arrived at food mecca!
Food. is great and reasonable price. Two brothers with a vision but the last time I was there I think their Mom waited our table and Dad opened our wine small business . Worth a visit
Hidden gem, second visit yesterday and always impressed with food 🥘, great service, small and cozy, reservations recommended
Great family run restaurant with great service and great food. I recommend highly!!!
The 7 hour braised beef is just out of this world. I could eat it all day!
I am never disappointed! Amazing people who run it and the food is amazing.
Highly recommend this restaurant!!!! Delicious food with great prices!!! It's a must if you are on the North Shore!!!
Food is super duper delicious! Highly recommended!
Some of Metro Vancouver’s best Christmas attractions are on the North Shore including at Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge. There are also a number of excellent Christmas artisan markets and Christmas shopping in the Lower Lonsdale area of North Vancouver.
We decided to go out for brunch before going shopping and exploring Christmas attractions. We picked Tour De Feast since it is one of the highest-rated restaurants about their brunch.
We would say Tour De Feast has the best cassoulet in town. It includes soft poached egg, white navy beans, weisswurst sausage, lardon bacon, swiss, and confit pork. It was well seasoned, and it was incredibly tasty. We really enjoyed it!
Tour De Feast is a super tiny restaurant in the centremost part of North Vancouver's industrial area. It is located at 319 Mountain Hwy, North Vancouver, BC.

Food was good. Service was awesome.A highly recommended place. From appetizers to main course everything was great. A family runs the business and their services are so good they will treat you like a family.
4.2/5 It is definitely a hidden gem. Who would thought about a fine dining restaurant is hidden at a corner of north highway? I have nothing to complain, the appetizer, main course, and dessert are excellent. I can see all the effort they put in, and these details, shifting of one flavour to another, they have done a great job. The only thing is they forgot my coffee order. But it is totally fine to me. The only thing they can do better is to have server to introduce each dish while she/he serving it. Overall, I love love love this place.
Came for late brunch. Reservations recommended. We had to order as takeout since we were running late. I tried the smoked salmon breakfast and it was really good. It wasn't too salty but very flavorful. The ingredients looked fresh, especially the egg with dark orange yolk.
Wow! quality , flavor well balance, price are reasonable , service was good and food was way above my expectation. That peppercorn sauce with the beef in the Black Bar plate was delightful
Very pleasantly surprised by this unassuming French bistro in North Van. Great prices, with taste that rivals the more celebrated French restaurants in downtown and Kits.
You may have seen this week's Georgia Straight article on Avocado Toast and be inspired to get Avocado Toast if you happen to be at Tour de Feast. Yelp reviews do seem to point out the toast (and for fair reason since the dish is quite tasty) BUT it's NOT the same thing the Georgia Straight is talking about.
This was our second time at tour de feast and our first time there having dinner. They are absolutely wonderful, we felt like VIPs as we were seated, and the food was spectacular. All three of us had the catch of the day and it was a perfectly cooked halibut in a seafood sauce with clams, shrimp and mussels. We had as much bread as we wanted, and excellent service throughout. This is officially our favorite north Vancouver restaurant, and will definitely go back! The food is delicious, with incredible textures, taste, and presentation. The service is impecable. Perfect place for a formal date, or just a family meal. The perfect hole-in-the-wall, family owned restaurant hidden in the most unlikely place!
Excellent night! Thank you tour de feast!
Back in April, I was invited by Richard (aka Vancouver Foodster) to be a media judge for his Mac and Cheese Challenge. One of the participating restaurants was a hidden gem of sorts – Tour de Feast. Located in an industrial block in North Vancouver, it’s a small family-run bistro specializing in French cuisine. I visited them to try their Mac and Cheese dish for the challenge.
Always my choice for Sunday brunch. Delicious plates with reasonable prices. Small venue however, best to make a reservation or come early. Friendly staff who are professional. The avocado on toast is my go to.
Awesome food, great ambience, special food for special season, I enjoyed delicious desserts. Very good in hospitality. Love the Christmas decoration. Planning to visit soon again.

Talk about random location. This is a Hidden gem. When I first came here I was not sure what to expect. Super casual and plastic chairs? Do not judge this place by how it looks. Food is superb. Plating is immaculate. Did I mention food is delicious...just go and try it.
Tour de Feast is a tiny little French restaurant on the North Shore. Now that I think about it… most French restaurants that I know are tiny. In any case, Tour de Feast has been on my list of places to visit for brunch for a long time. We actually drove by it a few times previously, but it’s really easy to miss.
Ninja Stripper and Jar Jar live out in North Vancouver, and seeing as how they’re expecting a child within the next few months it basically translates to NS not having much energy these days. Despite that, she’s made a point of trying to have as many proper date nights and spending time with friends as possible before the little alien pops out and consumes the next 18 years of their lives. She asked if Little Bunny and I wanted to go out for dinner and then go to their place for some home made ice cream (they got an ice cream maker for Christmas) followed by some board games. Silly question, obviously we were in. While I generally don’t like making the long trip out to North Vancouver, I felt too guilty making her travel so I agreed and in retrospect am thankful we did. She suggested a restaurant right near their home, Tour de Feast for dinner. She suggested it to us for brunch several months back but we ended up going to BLVD Bistro instead, so I’d been meaning to find an opportunity to come back. This was said opportunity.
Tour de Feast is located in a small building off the highway, close to Seymour Creek Golf Center in North Vancouver. This little bistro serves mostly traditional French dishes such as cassoulet and braised beef, which reflect their simple but refined cooking style. We arrived at Tour de Feast for brunch just before the Sunday rush. Sitting down by the large window, we delightfully enjoyed the view of people lining up for a table to be available while waiting for our orders. The place is rather small (24 seats last time I counted), so a minimalist design works very well. There seems to be enough room for everything, including the little decorations here and there to make the place feel less bare. We enjoyed the natural morning light shining through the windows. I did not forget to check the cleanliness of plate ware and cutlery under that beautiful light – they were spotless!
Amazing!!! What a find, in what seemed a fairly unlikely location for 5 star food, we lucked upon the best food we've eaten on our whole BC visit so far (a week of eating out in Yaletown etc).
I had the duck cassoulet and my friend had the lamb shank gnocchi, both fantastic. Desserts were also top notch, freshly prepared, I had the poached pear tart, my mate had a chocolate something - again both amazing.
Service was also perfect.
Well done TDF you blew us away!!!
Yes it is doing a good job. They have put together an interesting menu which is prepared with care and set before you with the same care. The atmosphere makes for comfort, as witnessed by the body language of the other people eating there too. Not a fancy place, but a placed well loved and reliable. They have a impressive air circulation system: clean air, cleans the mind and rejuvenates - this you can feel immediately. An interesting detail in itself. Never seen that before or experienced it. Well one other place in Vancouver, not a restaurant, at Finlandia.
Great food and service , food is consistently good , they do daily features which are updated online and on weekends they do dinner specials , I just had their crab cucumber cannelloni with braised lamb shank ...amazing
Awesome food. The food and service was great. I was a little thrown off by the dirty walls and decor. If they work on that they will have winning combination.
Hidden Gem-Great Food and Customer Service. One of those " hole in the wall" restaurants that exceeded exceptions!
Appy: Assiette de Charcuterie: Surf & turf style smoked salmon crostini, pork rillette, duck proscuitto, pate, romesco hummus, caramelized onions-- AMAZING 5/5
Food: 5/5 Duck Confit was great, $19 and worth it. Very tasty and flavourful, just enough sauce would recommend this again. Came with sausage and vegetables
Braised Beef: 5/5Loved this! the Meat was so tender and juicy. It you are a fan of sauce and have a good taste pallette, this is a great dish. Very filling.we even packed it to go =), blue cheese mash was a kicker :) ( very subtle)
Customer Service: 5/5
Casual/Conservative dining :). Made reservations for 8:00pm, we arrived early and our table was already ready for us. The customer service is excellent, they really pride them selves of taken care of their customers. Everything was described when coming to the table and no pushy sales. We talked to our server (male with dark hair, co-owner) and he mentioned that they don't do very much advertising and depend on word of mouth. We can see why its such a gem, you feel at home and the restaurant was busy from the time we went in to the time we left. Not a pretentious place and you will see all walks of life =)
Only down fall, sometimes parking is hard to find as not much street parking ( there is a back lot tho)
Will def go back again and try out brunch specials =)
Consistency is the name here. I have been coming here for a while now , very humble and genuine service , no fine dining atmosphere , but the food is at par or even better than some of the high end restaurants.
Food here has been consistent through out except on one occasion , but on the whole you can see the dedication on the plate
Cassoulet = Breakfast Heaven You gotta try this!
An amazing hidden treasure! We were in the area and used the mobile app to find a place for lunch, when 100% like came up we had to try it , when you walk on you are a bit apprehensive at first, it looks like an average sandwich shop. We looked at the daily special menu and I took a chance on the Cornish game hen, I was immediately delighted when it promptly arrived to the table, this is no average sandwich shop, my meal was obviously prepared by a trained chef, the hen was perfect! And the sauce! Brilliantly served with creative side veggies, every bite was a delight! This is tops on my list!
Lovely food!. Wow - what a great little place! I would totally have driven by this little café if my Mom hadn't known about it, but it is so worth checking out. Four of us went for lunch and everything was beautifully presented and delicious, if a tad salty. We loved the beef short rib sandwich, lamb shank, and the Lyon breakfast. Super warm and friendly family run café. Definitely worth a visit!
Excellent expérience for our family. Our kids 9&6 loved their b'fast. Our son said that his OJ was the best he ever had:)
The food is fresh tasty and portion are just right,...coming from a foodie who can be very critical of places. The service is excellent and discrete. We had the slow cooked pork confit sandwich with onion jam and Dijon on ciabatta YUM! Our kids has regular b'fast and they ate everything, sausages and bacon was perfectly cooked not to mentioned the eggs to perfection. I know when you read this kind of review it set high expectations so just go and try it and you will see. Chilled out atmosphere Enjoy!
We've passed by this restaurant hundreds of times and never noticed it was there. We were tentative about going in but boy are we glad we did. Food is excellent, service is friendly and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended.
Absolutely the Best!!!!. Tour de Feast is absolutely the BEST restaurant in North Vancouver! The value for such high quality delicious food is only one of the many reasons why it is a gem. However what really brings this restaurant together is the service and love the staff have for their food and their loyal clientele. Chef only uses the best quality food to create his artistic scrumptious items which are always in plentiful quantity, enough to satisfy the hungriest palate. Parking is always available, if you look behind the restaurant or on mountain highway. We urge everyone to try this place...for a truly enchanting experience!
Amazed ! must go. Very good food ! extremely low rates and co operative staff ! had smoked salmon sandwich last time it was extremely good :)
best recommended in town
A Pleasure. I entirely LOVED my weekend brunch here. It sort of resembles the bistro type of egg dishes that you'd find at Burgoo, but I think, done exceptionally better. It wasn't as heavy or oily as I thought it may be which was very pleasing. My companion was put off by the layering and "texturing", but he did order a dish containing lardons so there you go!! Service here is excellent & warm as well.
Refreshing and Amazing. I had passed TDF so many times going up to Cap U and today I was starving, so I went to check it out. I thought it would just be a walk in, nothing special, normal pre made stuff cafe WRONG!!
It's a sit down, cozy, calming and friendly restaurant. They do have a take out option though I believe. They play soft music that is at the perfect level, enough to be heard as background but not obtrusive in anyway. It's fairly small so you'd think you would hear all the noises from the kitchen, not so. I don't know how they managed that one. It was a hot day and I saw that they had gazpacho, but I was so torn between all the other delicious options!
Luckily, they had a combo that you can get for the seriously reasonable price of $11. I got a hearty sized gazpacho which was topped with bacon and absolutely to die for, a pulled pork sandwich with home made onion jam which was just the most satisfying blend of flavours I've had in a while and a crisp, fresh salad. I couldn't finish it all and had to take some home, which as a student, is great!
Bottom line: I can't wait to come back here and am recommending it to everyone! The family that runs it is so nice and the quality and innovation of the food is fantastic. It doesn't really stand out to me as strict french cuisine, but you can sure tell its french inspired! Anyways, not too picky about wether it's "authentic" or not, it was great food at a great price with great people :D What more could you want?
Gourmet Food, Small Portions. The Food was of Fresh Gourmet quality. The dishes were made of fresh vegetable and flavorful spices. Furthermore, the meat was slow cooked overnight. The fish was soft and succulent. However, the portion sizes of the daily specials were a little on the small side. Leaving you a little hungry as you returned to work. In addition, the service time of 20 minutes was little slow. When the food is this good and you are paying between $13-$18 for Lunch, you want to have enough time to savor the masterful daily creations. I would recommend you try out the savory daily creation but schedule a hour if want to truly enjoy your lunch.
High quality, fresh food. I almost came in once before but thought it looked low-end. Big mistake! Don't judge it on location; good value!
Super delicious and good service
I am surprised it is not packed on a Sunday for brunch
We came group of 7 and we all liked this place. It's kind of hidden gem I would say. I got short rib sandwich and 3 lentil soup and they were all delish. I'd come back.
Awesome. YOU KNOW when sometimes you enter a cafe with mixed expectations and just feel confused about whats gonna come your way....this is the way i felt before eating at tdf....Its a little unknown gem that i just stumbled upon....
great french brunch for the starters i had the beet salad ..very simple but just amazing ...havent tasted beets that better....for the mains i ordered the tomato gratin ...no words you describe....lots of flavour thats a way to put it....my friend was vegan , the owners took so much care in make her meal special .They could have just send a simple salad or something , but instead they had awesome ideas to cook for my friend which she really appreciated.
Going above and beyond.....five stars
We come here for lunch on a regular basis. The food and service are excellent.
Went in for a couple of takeout sandwiches. I tried the roast beef and the turkey club. Both were great. Highlights were the caremelized onions on the beef and the bacon jam on the club.
There are new owners who clearly care about food and will be changing the menu to include more French style food.
Great sandwhiches, soups and salads. Had the goat cheese salad and turkey house Sandwhich with bacon jam. The salad was phenomenal and the freshness of the turkey was evident in the first bite. Will definitely be returning to Tour de Feast.
There are a lot of awesome places to check out in the North Shore area, but because it’s fairly far from where Q and I live we very rarely head out there. A couple of weeks ago we were invited to check out Savour at the Lonsdale Quay and it was amazing to try out the food vendors there. Coincidentally, North Shore Tourism invited us shortly after to explore the eating scene in the area peripheral to Lonsdale Quay – we happily obliged! A friend of mine had tried Tour De Feast before and raved about it, so we were very excited to try it out too. When Q and I got to Tour De Feast, we were immediately struck by how homey it looked from the outside and inside (Q: I think I would use the word intimate instead of homey) . Inside Tour de Feast The space isn’t very large and the space is unassuming – it reminded me of a cozy cafe (which is kind of what they go for during the lunch hour). Feels like a cafe, but ambience of a cozy restaurant With the lights dim and some mellow background tunes, the ambience was both casual and elegant at the same time (great date location!). (Q: I definitely agree on it being a great date plaec! It is not so dim that you cannot read the menu nor was the music too loud that you can’t have a proper conversation). I’d say the feel is like a more casual version of Pied a Terre on Cambie. Because it was a very stormy night (Q: more like monsoon down pour…) , it was a bit quieter than usual. We were told that the restaurant is typically packed (Q: Although, a friend mentioned that when he was here for lunch, he was the only customer during lunch hour) ; today, we were able to take up a 4-person table and make good use of the space. Dinner Menu Tour De Feast recently revamped their menu a bit. They’ve added some dishes that were traditionally only offered on their daily specials and also incorporated more game meat into their repertoire – for example their Wild Duo includes Venison and Bison. You can check out their dinner menu here ! Making eve
This weekend I made a trip up to whistler for the much anticipated ‘pow day’, but due to high winds, the mountain was shut down for the first hour in the morning. With so much confusion and so many people trying to get up for the fresh snow, my friends and I decided to just go home and stop by north Vancouver for brunch. So we stopped by Tour de Feast , a restaurant I’ve had my eye on for a while. My brunch was the delicious Cassoulet, and it started with this lightly dressed house salad. In the cassoulet skillet were 2 poached eggs, white beans, weisswust, bacon and confit pork. My favorite of this dish was the super tender confit pork that’s hidden under the poached egg and the bacon. The truffled roasted potatoes were amazing too. My friend’s short rib sandwich was awesome as well. The beef short rib was very tender, perfectly paired with sweet caramelized onion, and truffle mayo. And this was the special of the day. Roast chicken, with so many bacon bits, sunny side e
I hadn’t been here for a couple of years. We came here for lunch and found the food to be the same - simply tasty and fresh! We both ordered the avocado and focaccia. The bread was crispy topped with 2 sunny side eggs. You have a choice of bacon or sausage.
We felt safe as we were seated a good distance from other tables. They do a great job keeping the place clean. Next time we hope to visit for dinner. It’s good to know they have prepared food for takeout.
Parking is a bit of a challenge but it’s worth it considering you’re getting quality food. There are side streets nearby.
We were planning to go to another brunch place but I felt fortunate that we ended up here! Absolutely exceeded our expectations. Hidden gem indeed!
Came here for a Friday night dinner and was so impressed! It doesn't look like much when you drive by but this is a hidden gem! The mussels were amazing, we soaked up every last drop of the sauce, the beef brisket melted in my mouth (and was so good that it made my eyes water haha) and the mashed potatoes were so smooth and creamy. My fiancé had the duck and he was really impressed, the meat was so juicy but the skin was crisped to perfection. We got a sour cherry Madeline cake to share and I liked it so much we took one home and I had it the next day as a sweet treat. We also grabbed some of the amazing peppercorn sause that came with my beef brisket and hope to use it in a mac and cheese at home. 100% recommend to anyone looking for some delicious food, will be back for brunch and dinner in the future. Service was quick, attentative and very friendly as well!
First time visit. I tried the Cassoulet brunch and the food was lovely. Portion was more than enough for me for brunch, but might not be enough for someone who is really hungry. Only consideration was that the staff inside the kitchen held a very loud conversation, and there is only a cloth separating the kitchen and dining area so it got a little bit uncomfortable. But am sure that isn't an everyday occurrence!
Wonderful meal with reasonable prices. The ambiance appears to be quite casual but the meal was “fine dining”. We chose to sit outside because the weather was warm enough and we prefer fresh air; unfortunately the outside dining area was right on the street so a tad noisy. Lovely service staff. My hubby had the beef short rib and I had fish!
It's a small cozy family-run restaurant, authentic French cooking, and one of the best brunch places I've ever been to. I've been here twice and it doesn't disappoint. I much prefer doing my weekend brunch here as opposed to the bigger restaurants that keep you on a timer
Small and cozy restaurant, the servers were nice but service got slow when they’re busy. Foods are good but not impressive as other French restaurants I tried before.
Such a great experience here! Food was good quality and flavorful, very very kind owners. Family run restaurant, they gave us a complimentary dessert since it was our anniversary! Definitely want to come back for their dinner menu on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! 👌
