The Lobster Pound is my favorite restaurant in the CBRM. Every dish I've ever had has been amazing. A reservation is a must. The servers are all excellent and very attentive. There is a variety on the menu, but I personally recommend anything sea food related. EXCELLENT restaurant - highly recommend.
Exceptional service and food. We ordered the chowder, lobster wontons, fish n chips and roast chicken dinner. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The servers made sure we were well looked after and the chef came and spoke to us and other diners making sure everyone was enjoying their dinner. A great end to our trip in Sydney. Make sure you make reservations.
This restaurant is so amazing that it is truly an experience. The food is perfectly prepared, plated beautifully, and tastes amazing. The seafood chowder bowl is a meal on its own, after trying seafood chowders all around the coast I have to say this is easily the best chowder I have had. The fish trio was an amazing combination. Finally, the lobster pasta was absolutely delicious, served with a lobster claw and a stack of garlic bread. The staff are incredibly kind, ensuring you have everything you need, and have lots of interesting stories to share about the decorations. The restaurant sits right on the coast with a beautiful view, and gorgeous decorations throughout the restaurant. I cannot say enough about how fantastic this restaurant is.
A must stop if you find yourself in beautiful North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Excellent service, fresh food and healthy sized portions! Good selection of seafood on the menu. Good COVID protocols, felt safe. Thank you, Chef!

Wonderful atmosphere, great food and the service was right on! The show and tell by the owner of the art made by family members made it extra memorable.
We had a lovely meal at the Lobster Pound and Moore. This is a finer dining experience with a casual ambiance. You can watch the Lobster boats come in right beside the restaurant and watch the ferries dock on the other side. Our server was great, friendly, and efficient. We needed some accommodation for my Dad and they made it happen. I indulged in lobster and shrimp cakes with salad and frites, lobster thermidor with french fries, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Every item was perfect. I couldn't stop eating!
There is plenty of parking available and it's a small stroll to the door. There is handicap parking available and the restaurant is accessible. Next visit we hope it is warm enough to sit outside on the patio.
Large portions that I had to finish because it was delicious. The service was friendly and added to a great night:)
