Holy smokes!!! (see what I did there...) We decided to try a few different things - poutine with added pulled pork and brisket, the pulled pork eggrolls, coleslaw, and beans. Everything was incredible! Sooooo recommend this place. It's worth the drive. Next time we're trying the Lucky Dog.
Absolutely loved the food and service! Its going to be the new weekly date spot for my wife and I. I highly recommend everybody try this place AT LEAST once!
We tried a little of everything. All was excellent. The pulled pork eggrolls sound a little strange but were surprisingly good. The brisket was tender and flavourful as was the pulled pork - you can taste the meat and not just the sauce. The slaw was good but nothing special but the beans were fantastic.
Friendly service and two of us stuffed ourselves, including drinks, for about $35.
Update: We made a special trip for my June 2019 birthday. Food is still excellent and that brisket.... a smokey bit of heaven in your mouth.
Wife brought cheeseburgers and ribs on Friday. Ribs were incredible and the burgers were so good that I had to go back Saturday to get more for lunch. Good meat, great and generous veggies and buns were nice.
Best part is his own smoked cheese. He smokes St-Albert cheddar and puts that in, turns an amazing burger into an incredible one.
I also tried the homemade pulled pork egg rolls and all I can says is "WOW!!". You have to try them.
Love the food here. As others have mentioned the pulled pork egg rolls are excellent! The pulled pork poutine is a must and so is the brisket! I have eaten a lot of BBQ and Kevin's is right up there with the best. His St Louis style ribs are fall off the bone. I will definitely be back soon. Thanks Kevin and Christina you guys do it right.
The beef brisket sandwich was great. Came with beans and coleslaw that were both excellent. The service was very friendly and added to the overall experience. The best BBQ in the Ottawa area.
The pulled pork sandwich was deliciously smoky. Pulled chicken sandwich: tender and flavourful. Coleslaw is creamy and tasty - not heavy on the vinegar like so many other places. Service was fast and friendly and we look forward to returning to try the ribs.
Wonderful Southern BBQ. I have had the pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich and meatloaf and it has all been very tasty including the sides. My little 6 year old daughter has enjoyed the food too. Nice to support another local veteran as well.
