We dropped in during a road trip on the Canada Day weekend. This place has parking in the rear however when we arrived it was full. No worries as there is plenty of parking in the smaller streets. You don't mind walking when the surroundings are as nice as Niagra on the Lake. This place has a patio as well as dine in seating. We were seated inside. It had a very pleasant atmosphere. Mostly Canadian style food items on the menu such as burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pasta. I ordered the Reuben and it was very well prepared. Lots of corn beef but not too salty so I didn't mind taking big bites out of it. It came with a large serving of fries and garden salad on the side as well. One of our other guests commented that they put a bit too much cream cheese on her sandwich but overall the food was fine. Our server was excellent as well.
It's expensive. So is everything else in NOTL. Now that this is out the way, let's talk food. The soup was good. The octopus, if on the menu, is a must have. When it comes to octopus, many places try, but few succeed. The rest of the food is up to standard; exquisite. The ribs were perfect, the MaheMahe well done, the vegetables Carmelites to perfection and the seafood linguini delightful. The atmosphere matches, so

Had a lovely lunch on the patio, raspberry vinegrette is delicious. Prime rib panini is amazing share if you don't like big portions though

Delicious. The food is excellent and so is the service. They are very friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I have a gluten allergy and the staff are familiar with that and can offer options and have solutions for your meal. We come here everytime we come to town.
Great place to go!. We arrived at Grill on King at 5:30 pm last Friday. While the patio was full, we had the inside of the restaraunt almost to ourselves. The service was quick and attentive, and the atmosphere relaxing and inviting.
My wife ordered the roast chicken dinner, while on our server's recommendation, I ordered a Mahi Mahi dish. I was a little nervous, because I have never ordered fish for dinner before. I'm not a seafood type. When the food arrived, it was perfect. Everything was well cooked, and tasted great.
While Grill on King might be a little pricey to take the whole family, we would definately recommend this eatery to any couple looking for a nice quiet dinner together.
Menu a little on the pretentious side, but bottom line; nice food and friendly service; Portion size just about right. Previous reviewer mentioned problems with children not being welcome, but absolutely no problems with our 12 year old; not the most child friendly menu though.

Nice Place. The staff is friendly and efficent and the food is very nice (but large portions). I highly recommend the grilled salmon (I did not have the salsa). I have also had the chicken skewers and they were done nicely but a large portion. Both times I took home leftovers. The inside of the resturant is charming. We ate both times on the patio as it was summer. It is a tad narrow but nice as it is quiet not being on the main street. I would go back here again!
