Cute little coffee shop opposite the Prince of Wales. Friendly staff, nice seating and good coffee. Typical finger treats that you see in most coffee shops at this level. Nothing exciting, but a nice place to relax after wandering around the area.
Very good ambience and brewed coffee is great ..Tried the winter blend with a moderate roast..flavorful n raw coffee aroma.. Place is right opposite Prince of wales hotel .. Enjoyed the taste and service
STILL OPEN. I'm puzzled that a newspaper published a "closed on the 23rd" story, but my wife and I had a couple of wonderful cups, as well as amazingly good blueberry oatmeal, at Balzac's as recently as the morning of the 26th. (We're in Quebec now so I can't check this morning.) The young man behind the counter simply could not have been more friendly and helpful, and the barista was talented and fast. Very sorry "John Doe" had a bad experience, but ours were all great. This is the sort of place I confidently recommend to strangers on the street. GREAT coffee. And it is prospering, not closing.
