A great lunch. I just finished having lunch at this Keg the portion are very generous the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
I had the Ribeye dinner which came with rice, mashed potato and salad. My wife had ribs which comes in two sizes. They were cooked to perfection!
I can't wait to go back!!

Wasnt really looking forward I going to the Keg as I have had bad experiences there before. Te Keg amazed my cousin and I. We both had an amazing meal, great service and on the ball. Very surprised seeing how we went there on a busy Friday night.
The prime rib is seriously good
Superb Steak and Seafood. We've been to this Newmarket venue several times before including a Christmas office party. The food is uniformly excellent, and the service consistently good. Our most recent visit was to celebrate our anniversary, and after we had both feasted on sirloin specials with garlic mashed potato (our daughter ordered the Alaska king crab), the house treated us to a Billy Miner pie (Mocha ice cream on a chocolate crust with hot fudge, caramel and almonds). Our server, Kim, was inconspiculously attentive, refilling water glasses before they were emptied, and timing her service to a T. This is one professionally run dining establishment.
We arrived at the Keg Steakhouse ( 18195 Yonge Street, Newmarket ) 6:10 P.M. and were told the wait was 25-35 minutes. We were seated in just over 20 minutes which was pretty good considering most places sometimes push you beyond the promised wait time. O
first time at the keg and I was not disappointed. Our server Kelly was great, really nice and was super attentive to our needs, she even asked if we wanted a kids menu for our child. Food was amazing, steaks and lobster were phenomenal, super tender. We would 100% go back!
It was a very good dinner.
Appetizers are great, tuna and avocado can meet so well.
And the mushroom soup was delicious.
I liked the steak and prawns I ordered, very good.
Even the side dishes of mushrooms and đź«‘ were very good.
The service was also great, just the right distance.
My English could have been better, I always forget how to say medium rare for steak. But medium is fine.
Today is my birthday. I'm glad I chose this place.
It was a great time spent with my family. The food was fresh and worth it. The Calamari wasn't fresh and I hope this is a one time thing. Desert was on the house.
We arrived and the girls at the front were very friendly. Our waitress Kim arrived right away. Kim was very attentive , she was outstanding. We had one issue with a steak, we decided not to send it back as we were full from the appetizers. Kim offered to get us another one, we declined. The manager arrived and offered deserts for the inconvenience. Kim was pleasant and very nice. It’s so nice to go to a restaurant where the waiters give great service instead of giving mediocre service and expect a big tip. We will be back to this location.
It’s safe to say that all Keg locations provide incredible service and hospitality, but I was blown away on our visit on Mothers Day 2023. We had booked a reservation for 8:00pm, however, the table before us had not left the table until it was nearing 9pm. The staff that evening was extremely accommodating, they had comped our entire bar bill due to the wait and were extremely compassionate about the situation. Our server was friendly, outgoing and kind. I wish I had gotten names to personalize this review but I am sure every worker at The Keg Newmarket shares the same incredible work ethics.
Got to the door and they told us we needed reservations. This from a place that never took reservations in the past. Anyway they were able to seat us. It was super busy but the staff was very attentive. Of course the amazing bread was served within minutes and it was hard not to eat it all. For appetizers we ordered escargot. Amazing. And the cauliflower crisp bites which were fabulous. They have many vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the vegetarian meatloaf. It looked fantastic but not really a fan of the taste. My partner had the bacon wrapped steak and enjoyed it. My only complaint was the the music was a bit on the loud side for conversation. But you can not be the keg for food quality and amazing service.
We had a take out anniversary dinner at home. My husband has had a stroke and is unable to come to the restaurant. Our dinner was outstanding, hot and the billie miner pie was to die for. And free I might add since it was our Anniversary. Food was as good as eating in at the restaurant. Can't say enough. Thank you Keg for the wonderful meal.
Came here for my bday. Decor is beautiful - warm and cozy. Ordered the old fashioned and mojito . Old fashioned was amazing while mojito was very sour. For appetizers, ordered the calamari (not pictured) and the escargot. Calamari was a hit - crispy and not the chewy kind while the escargot was a disappointment as sauce was too overpowering. The mains were amazing and we ordered all the proteins. Every dish was cooked to perfection. I did not get any crab in my salmon dish which was the only complaint.
Visited this location without reservation. We had a great dinner on the lounge. My wife had steak and lobster. I had the peppercorn steak. The steaks were perfectly. Trinity was very attentive and provided great service.
Had a meal here this evening. Food was as expected and to the Keg's high standards. I'm writing this because my server Kelly was amazing. I sat in the lounge this evening as I was dining alone and Kelly was the ideal balance of being attentive without crowding me. Her smile and wit was also welcomed. Thanks Kelly for making my meal a pleasurable experience!
