Ground Burger Bar

Amazing on a bun, with a drizzle of amazing and finished with a dash of amazing. The live music is seriously good. The service is fast and friendly. GBB Smash burger is a personal favorite. A lot of detail has gone into selecting every sauce, topping, seasoning and ingredients, and it shows. The brioche bun was sensational.

Grabbed take out from thus since the reviews were so good and it's been rated highly as burger place in Canada for 3 years (#17 in 2020). The menu is incredibly diverse with kids of options for buns, proteins and toppings, as well as a build your own. At first glance, the portion size of the sides looked small because the contents didn't fill up halfway in the container, especially the sweet potato wedges but after eating everything, I was very full. The burgers are really good, perfectly cooked, full flavoured and very juicy. It's a messy eat but worth it. The sides are really good too, perfectly fried (no oil residue) and not overly salty. If your looking for a good burger place, come visit.

Came here on a beautiful sunny evening while walking near Fairy Lake. It’s the summer effect I tell you. We were quickly seated in the outdoor patio and our server was very nice and polite. I did not catch her name but it was her 2nd day and it was out first in the restaurant 😄. After much deliberation we ordered the field of greens veggie burger and I got the burger of the month, a once a month people’s choice burger; nice concept. We also ordered the sweet potato fries and a side salad . The burgers are slightly on the pricier side but both burgers were unique and unlike anything we have eaten before. The veggie burger was a smashed chickpea and barley patty with seasonal vegetables and was very pleasing to the palette. It did not take chalky like some of the other veggie patties we had eaten before. The burger of the month was a double patty with crispy bacon and cheddar crisps, caramelized onions, and pickled jalapeños. The flavors married well together - slightly sweet, salty , and smoky - was a burger well constructed and worth biting into. The salad was fresh but my favorite though, and by far the best I have come across , was the sweet potato fries. This is a must have. The fries were soft and sweet on the inside but had a nice crispy and thin outer coating with fragments of herbs. And it stayed crispy till we finished the last morsel. The aioli was not overpowering and accompanied the fries beautifully.

If you want to try some of the best burgers EVER come to eat here! This place has it all! They’ve got a huge selection of toppings and patties to choose from and you can tell the chef is very passionate about what he does because EVERY burger I’ve had from here has been a 10/10 so far. I’d highly recommend getting a milkshake as well, sometimes they’ve got specialty shakes that… well… just look at the picture 🤤 The staff are always on their best moods and treat you with utmost respect. If GROUND BURGER BAR isn’t a Newmarket Icon, I don’t know what is! -James
