The biggest park is in the New Westminster city. It has several parking lots. It is a wonderful place for you to have a jog, walking with your dog, taking a morning run as well as just leisurely walking around.
Some areas are fensed up for rehabilitation, so please be noted not to walk into those places. There are different gardens for the plants. you may enjoy the scenery as well as some places for you to play baseball tennis and various sports.
On a lovely sunny day in April, we visited the Queen’s Park in New Westminster. This historic urban park was built in 1887. It’s natural and well maintained with various functional facilities, such as Arena, sports field, gymnastics, trails, wedding venue, playground and the picnic tables. Love the beautiful Rose Garden. Some workers have done great jobs of designing and gardening in it. Lots of parking space for visitors.
I absolutely love this park. It's a gem in the middle of the city, filled with nature, recreational spaces and beauty. A plece where you can go and relax in a bench for hours, read, clear your mind, have a bbq. Play soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, run, walk, hockey. Your kids can play with the water fountains....what not? The surrounding areas are beautiful as well and this park makes everything even more impressive
Great large park. Areas to play sports, to walk trails, spray park, playground, picnic shelters and more. The park in general is very shaded with the big trees. The big trees help it stay cooler on super hots days, but in not so hot days, it can feel cool, especially if kids are playing in the water.
Nice large park with forest walking trails, picnic tables, covered picnic areas, water park, tennis courts, public bathrooms, concession stand, large playground, rose garden, large parking lots. Looks like a great place to host large parties.
This is a truly remarkable park. The landscapers have gone out of their way to be really creative. There are small figurines and sculptures all over the if you look for them. Some are very subtle at the base of trees and you have to be right up near the particular installation to really see it while others are right out of Lord of the rings.
I went there a couple of times to run, and the Millennium trail is very good, but in the evenings it gets very dark, it needs some more street lights, so it's better to go with someone. It still feels safe because there is always a practice of some kind in the soccer field.
Great park that is spread out and has a nice canopy of trees making great shade. There is a fairly large splash park, a sandbox with some diggers, and a nice baby/ toddler area. There are swings, covered picnic tables, and a great new slide and climbing structure. There is something for everyone! There is also a concession, but I am uncertain of the hours.
Beautiful park with several playgrounds for different ages. It has a water park, gardens, and a picnic area.
Absolutely beautiful! Well kept grounds, lovely flowers, easy access to washrooms, trails and although in the center of the city, you can't hear traffic! I love Queen's Park...
