The only thing that has changed about this place since I was a kid is the prices.
It's a classic diner, with massive portions of comfort food. It's the perfect place to fill up after a long day of hiking or exploring.
Also, pro tip. Add cheese curds to the hot turkey sandwich to make turkey sandwich poutine.
Decent food. Only complaint is price has risen considerably. 16$-17$ average for any dish here now, so being your wallet. 16x4 + 15%tax, roughly 80$ if you include a small tip.
The Big Stop has been a fixture i ny life since childhood, drinking coffee, eating all day breakfasts, and those fries. Recently they have undergone face-lifts and entire rebuilds which made me worry they had messed with a time proven formula. Well don't worry, The Big Stop is as delicious as ever with the same excellent service. Burgers were terrific, ground beef hand formed pattied - this is gourmet stuff! And those crinkle fries done to perfection. Will absolutely be coming back for more.
