Best coffee I've had. The medium roast is my favorite.
They've closed the coffee shop but you can still find their coffee in grocery stores around town.
Great roast shop that sells quality organic beans at a price cheaper than the good grocery store brands (10.95$ a pound with your own bag/container). Island owned and good relationship with their plantation in asia - great, friendly generous staff
Best tasting whole beans, locally owned, organic (if it matters to you). On top of it all it's also less expensive than a big chain grocery store. No reason not to buy from here.

I brew my coffee with a customized espresso machine one cup at a time, i grind my beans anywhere from medium fine to powder like. I get all the flavor there is to be had. I've tried many types of beans from numerous sources as this is for me, part of the adventure of having a great cup of coffee on a daily basis. I wandered into Gulf Island on Cliff st. one day and met the owner, nice guy, he was just doing a roast so he showed me the machine at work. I took home a pound of his dark roast and put it in rotation with the other coffees i had on hand. Some time later it became obvious that on a daily basis, Gulf Islands is the best coffee ive ever made. I no longer can buy a better coffee than what i brew myself. Im not even going to try and describe the wonderfully smooth rich flavor. I will say this, you have to try it!, experience this coffee for yourself, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Extremely tasty coffee and I interacted with a very friendly and helpful employee. I will definitely be coming here for all my coffee needs from here on out. Keep up the good work.

My favourite coffee and friendly staff..We got this shipped to us when we moved away for a bit. Now we go in regularly for our 5lb bag of Montague 😊
