Always eager to try a new place. Clean, well decorated place with lots of parking if you can find your way down the narrow back alley.
I ordered the pho with rare beef and tendon. It was very nicely done. The broth was excellent, with a silky feel and buttery richness. I enjoyed my tendon which still had a little crunch.
My wife had a rice plate with an assortment of meat including something new to us, the egg meatloaf. It was very tasty.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Other than location, I think this place could be competitive. Prices reasonable as well.
I have driven past this place for a while. Finally gave it a try today. The service was friendly and I was surprised how nicely it was decorated inside. You can't really see much driving by. The menu is beautiful and priced appropriately. I ordered the lemon grass pork.
We have been going to Vietnam for winter vacation for more than a decade so you could say we know the cuisine really well. This little gem provides the closest in taste and atmosphere we have ever had locally and it is actually priced below value. We went recently and will now become regulars!!!.
The servings are a bit on the small side but so far, as far as flavour goes, this is my favourite pho place in Nanaimo. The spicy hue style beef soup is full of spicy flavour and my girlfriend loves the regular fully loaded beef soup.
Definitely worth a stop.
The massive salad rolls are the best. The noodle bowls are also great.
