UP - Absolutely amazing food. I got the halibut and it was the best I've had in a long time. Great service, atmosphere and decent menu selection. Oh yeah, and really tall beers!

DOWN - It was a little bit hard to find... So FYI - It's tucked behind the tennis courts up by the lake. The sign that points to the bistro is very small and the parking lot faces the back of the building so it doesn't feel too obvious that you're there.

OUT - Some very fine dining for Nanaimo. The prices reflect the quality, but that's a good thing.

The food at this bistro is very well done. I had the curried mussels and they were the right balance of spicy and sweet. The presentation of all the dishes is so clean and neat. The staff were polite and came back to our table quite frequently. The views outside of the windows are amazing. It adds to the fresh atmosphere inside the bistro.

A lovely summer evening on the patio. The patio is not the only good thing about this bistro .
We have had many good lunches in front of the fire too !
The ambiance is lovely , and the food is consistently delicious .
The presentation is equally attractive .
The host and staff are friendly and very professional .
We would recommend this restaurant highly .

I have been there a number of times for lunch, today I enjoyed a very nice high tea for a friend's birthday. A beautiful space with a lake view and the food was delicious! It was a busy afternoon and while they were short staffed, they were attentive and the owner came out to serve and present the lovely selections of savory and sweet treats. Reservations are a must and they have a delicious selection of seafood dishes.

Really great lunch!I had the thunder crunch chicken burger-it was fab!My hubby had a chicken strip fruit and nut salad-we enjoyed our meal and the quaint building as well.Great service and a yummy lunch at a beautiful site by the lake.Reservations recommended.

Beautiful location. I had the vegetarian burger, the dried tomatoes didn't go very well with it but other than that it was delicious, and the fries were super crispy and well seasoned, really enjoyed everything. After dinner it's really nice to take a walk around the lake. Our hostess/server was very nice. I would love to go back and try the tea and scones.

Went to Piccadilly Bistro for lunch with a small group. The cook and the waitress made each of us feel like VIP’s. The food and service was excellent. Appys, lunch, dessert, all amazing. We went out for dinner to another place and all we can talk about is how it doesn’t hold up to the bistro. 100% would recommend to anyone and we will all be returning.

Really liked the place. Small seating area with a great view and great food to match. Plan to stay awhile as service is not rushed, but that isnt a bad thing. What else do you want?

I was taken for the sumptuous afternoon tea which was perfect. The sandwiches crustless of course were fresh and delicious. The variety of pastries were wonderful and the chocolate mini mousse amazing. This was my special 80th birthday and my dear friend thought it was a great surprise….it was. The setting on Westwood lake even in March on a grey day was beautiful.
