Food were excellent. Large portions and great value for money. Food were really delicious. There are only few seats; however, looks big already from how they look outside.

Just dropped by Nanaimo for the day. I ride my bike and ventured through the old town and went 1-2 blocks in more to get in a bit more to find cheaper prices away from the touristy area and found this little gem. As most places they are finding hard to find help so the limited staff is very busy. Food quality was excellent and the price was as well for lunch box. I would come back again on my next visit.
Love love LOVE their sushi!
Tried takeout from this place for the first time a month ago and had to go back again because the rolls I had was so good. The California roll, BC roll, spicy Cali, and spicy tuna roll are extremely delicious! My only complaint is that the spicy tuna roll is smaller than the rest. But for the slightly more expensive price and amazing flavour, I will still get it everytime I get sushi from here because it's so darn good!
This place is great! Tasty, friendly helpful staff, affordable and an all round good vibe. Nestled into the old town, perfect if you don't want to do a strip mall joint. Recommend for any out of towners unsure on where to grab good sushi.
I used to come here all the time when I was a university student living in Nanaimo. I now live on the other side of the country but was in town to visit and stopped by at my old favourite sushi place. I was really disappointed with the quality of service- it took over half an hour just to get water (had to ask 3 times), my friend ordered an appetizer that never arrived but then they had added it to the bill at the end. There was only one server and she seemed very stressed out. I think the focus was on takeout orders and not the dine in. Hopefully it will be better next year when I visit again. The food quality was still great but the service was really lacking.
Edit: I do appreciate the owner reaching out after reading my review! This place is still #1 in my books, I understand bad days happen.
We were on our way to the ferry and ordered some take out... We were cutting time close and they went out of their way to rush our order. Everything was fresh and tasty. The tempura was light and super crunchy, even in a to go box. Will definitely eat here again!
Good sushi but asked for no avocado and everything had avocado on it even though the box said no avocado right on it.
