Good Food For A Cold Day. Ate there on a cold, rainy Sunday afternoon. It was a perfect day for this type of cuisine. Their menu is filled with main courses that are either cooked at your table or served in heated bowls that warm your insides. I chose their "Man Da GuK'. It's a steaming bowl of dumpling soup with seasoned pork broth. Not sure what "mystery meat" was inside but it sure hit the spot. It's accompanied by four types of Kimchi that can be endlessly supplied. A little on the tame side for me but for a 'newcomer" I think would be just fine. The restaurant is larger than you'd think from the outside and it's quite nicely decorated. Wood paneling is the theme throughout. Although you can find menu items to suit the single person, group dining rules here as is the Korean tradition. It was a nice surprise when discovered and it hits my "good bet" list. I'll be back.
Good food. Went there for a quick lunch and it was surprisingly good. I ordered the bibimbap and I was very happy with it. The bowl was sizzling hot and the rice on the bottom got that perfect crunchiness that I love.
We like the Korean food there more then other places. Service is on the slower side but still friendly towards us non Asians. We still recommened the place though. We enjoy the atmosphere for large groups in the private rooms. Price is not cheap but the portions are fair unlike other Korean grill places we have visited in Montreal.
