Chez Chen offers a diverse range of dishes from northern China. The prices are fair for the portions and you will find yourself indulging in many unique dishes that are not found in typical Chinese diners. They offer a discount when you pay in cash, and also give out free drinks when you spend over a certain amount. For sure one of my favourite places to go for some comfort food ( ´▽｀)
One of the few north-eastern Chinese restaurant you can find in Montreal. Do try their crispy pork and stone pot, but I am disappointed that they changed recently their traditional salad to a "rainbow" salad.
Very good food for the price. One of the best real Chinese place to eat in downtown. Take the crispy pork dish. The price is quite cheap for the quality.
Friendly service and they serve nice hot tea that doesn’t taste gross nor watery. Very authentic chinese food and fast service. Ordered the fried rice, pork stew and stirred fried pot; everything was delicious and authentic. They were in the saltier side, good with white rice. Generous portions.
The food is really incredible here and the service is really friendly. The prices are above average but are still very reasonable. I have nothing to complain about.
We ordered the braised pork, the fried chicken, cumin lamb and the Shanghai noodles. Everything was delicious, with the fried chicken being the most flavorful.

High price, some small regrets here and there, but overall a good restaurant. Tend to be a bit too salty for general taste, which is what authentic Chinese Northern dishes would naturally be.
Average quality of food. The lunch combo is a good deal. I ordered salt and pepper fried chicken. The chicken is very flavorful while wrapped with too much flour. The service was excellent and I like the tea, hot and sour soup and bean.
Very authentic chinese restaurant. I personally think it's better than Aunt Dai. Northern Chinese style food. Large portion and great price. Worth trying. 招牌炒饭和水煮牛肉都蛮赞的，性价比超高！
Ordered takeaway, lady was friendly and asked us if we needed water while waiting for food. All three classic dishes with three plain rice 60CAD. Didnt expected much but they were all delicious. Will recommend. I have ordered Sichuan dishes everywhere and they meet my expectations.
Delicious food, super nice staff. No need to worry about the double spicy signs, their not that hot.
Delicious, cheap Szechuan food in a very interesting location (it splits it with the best fried chicken place, Poulet Bronze). You need to try their food here! It’s always so good and the service is fantastic. They give you a tasty appetizer of edamame beans. I recommend the Szechuan fish (in spicy and mouth numbing broth!) It’s also frequently busy so make sure to try to make a reservation.
A very delicious, fresh and spicy Chinese food, good idea of serving the food on portable stoves, keeping it warm till you finish it

Chez Chen used high quality ingredients and prepared very nice dishes.
The general Tao was prepared with white meat and had less breading than expected.
Their mushrooms with chilies and pork was beautifully prepared although it had too much nearly raw garlic in it, masking the flavours of the other ingredients.
The noodles were a perfect chewiness and the beef was tender although i found it lacked some sauce. This may have been due to the lengthy delivery time though
The dumplings were crispy and delicious.
Over all, this restaurant did a great job and I will definitely order from them again.
Cute and simple restaurant. Authentic Chinese cuisine. It’s small and simple but food is freshly made. So good definitely worth trying

Decent Chinese food, in Montreal which is never easy to be found. They claimed they are a North East style Chinese food however I am from North East part China, Not quite right for my perspective. It's North Part style in general for sure. all in all, still a go.
Good food, not so clean place
Cumin Lamb 5/5. Spicy Eggplant with green beans 4/5. Inside of the restaurant is very plain and basic but the place is family run. The chef knows how to cook tasty stuff. Will be back.
