Great atmosphere, quiet little place, perfect for a bring your own wine kind of date. Service was exceptionally friendly. The escargot and broccoli soup have a wonderful spin on them.
Went there twice during corporate Christmas dinner. First time we went with a group menu and this year individual menu. This place is relatively small, but the decor is pretty warm. Service was good, food was better for individual menu than group ones. And since the group menu is almost the same price as the individual, go with the latter. Veal (chop or liver) and bison are the recommended dishes, and duck margaret when they have it.

YUMYUM. This is a great family run restauran with fine dining food in a casual atmosphere. Love their sauces and everything is made from scratch and you can taste the difference. They have exceptional creme brûlée and chocolate mousse. For under $50 per person you can enjoy classy food, casual atmosphere and your favourite bottle of wine, love it here
After plenty of planning and back and forth trying to nail down New Years Eve 2012 plans, and with so many options here in Montreal, we finally decided on staying close to home and chose Alex H. Not only is it fairly close by, but it is also a BYOB restaurant, making it superb choice for larger groups who would most certainly be indulging.
