Absolutely delicious. A wonderfully large selection of different dishes with fantastic, friendly and fast service. The clams in oyster sauce is especially delicious as in the madarin beef and chicken and sweet corn soup. Worth a visit, the services make you feel very important!
Terrific place close to downtown. The food is really good here and probably one of the best tom yum soups ive had. The place is always buzzing which means the food is good and service at par if not better.
Great late night casual eat located in downtown Montreal on the busy Tue Sherbrooke. Cheap and good Chinese food. Quick service, too, and the staff are pleasant.
I love going to PM. Food is good. Service is fast.
Excellent vegetarian selection as well.
I think the chef has changed over the past few years but food is still good. Just a bit different can't put my finger on it.
Definitely one of my regular everyday Asian places. Not fancy though.
Ordered Chinese won ton as an appertizer. For the main course, had seafood/vegetable hot pot with rice and Cantonese chow mein. It was tasty but smaller portion sizes than the last time I was there. Service was quick and place was clean.

Love this place. Open late and excellent quality considering its unassuming presentation. Food comes fast, suspiciously fast, yet it's somehow great and fresh tasting. This place is one of the things that I miss about living in Montreal.
One of the best places to go for authentic Chinese food in Montreal in my opinion! Affordable prices, quick service, and consistent food! Everything is very tasty and I keep coming back for more...PM is where I go when I need comfort food.
Their Japanese tofu with eggplant is one of my favourites, along with Buddha's feast!
Ordered General Tao's chicken, Thai chicken rice, beef and Chinese broccoli, and Cantonese noodle with beef. Delivery took less than 30 min. Food was steaming hot and delicious. Great portion sizes. Enough leftovers for breakfast!
Pretty much the best Chinese food you can get Downtown outside of Chinatown. This is a safe bet although rather pricey.
Still worth it. I have been to this restaurant many many times, i used to work in the areia and after my shift at a restaurant a few blocks away i would walk over and eat here. i usually ordered the same stuff, cantonees chow-main and or chicken hot pot. to this day i think the later is one of my favorit dishes of all time. it has always been good, some times even truly fantastic. but i have gone back a few times since i stopped working in the areia and i noticed it was not quite what it once was. don't get me wrong its still good, and very affordable, probably on my list of favorite restaurants in montreal, but it feels like something has changed... i do not particularly care for everything on the menu but the hot pot alone is worth the visit.
Quick yummy bite!. Just wanted a snack-had the salt and pepper pork chops and the singapore noodles. Flavor is just right - a touch of heat with great taste on the chops and tender too. Noodles with shrimp and chicken were light with just a hint of curry. Come with a group and you can have more of a variety. We've eaten here often and it's always been good!
This is an authentic chinese cuisine!
Fast cheap and delicious. #1 recommendation: spicy chicken in Chinese wine. I have ordered this every single time I have gone (and I've been there a lot)! Also try: beef in XO sauce.
This is fast becoming my go-to Chinese restaurant. Good fast service, they will prepare special requests to your specifications. Amazing tofu with eggplant and ground pork! Also try the giant shrimp won Tom soup, delicious! Go for a great lunch or a midnight snack it's always a treat.
For Student. FAST! CHEAP! GOOD! SIMPLE!
Fast chinese cuisine.... Awesome food, good prices, usually packed, fast and friendly service, dishes are original with spicy flavors.
They also take interac which is very handy. I highly recommend. This is far better than any soup and noodle place on Ste-Catherine.
PM is what it is. This restaurant's nothing special, unless you compare the neighboring Chinese restaurants. Oh, and I confirm the other review that presence of a "non Chinese" spoils the free dessert (although calling that "racist" is too strong for me).
Excellent Value For Money!. I ate there last week (Feb'11) and it was absolutely delicious I had the shrimp won tong soup which served ten dumplings for about 5.00$ a true delight! Then I had the Red Curry Tofu with Veggies, another dish to recommend. The portions are quite large, I left quite a bit of food in my plate...so sharing is highly recommended.
The only ''issue'' is that service was VERY slow, mind they were probably understaffed...I didn't mind at all but if you are in a rush perhaps you should mention it to the waiter.
Surprisngly good and well priced.
Prêt à delicious!. I've been goin to this place for years and have only once been disappointed and thats probably cos they dropped the bowl of chilis in the hot and sour soup. Otherwise the food is very consistent. I almost always order the same thing but have been quite surprised and delighted at the times where i've drifted away from the regular order. Highly recommended for a quick bite if you don't care about the decor.
Best in Montreal!. The best Chinese chef in Montreal used to work at the Beijing Restaurant in Chinatown, now he's performing his magic at P.M. Great prices, fast service, no disappointments. My entire office goes at least 3 times a week.
The Japanese Tofu with Eggplant, Spicy Salt Shrimp, General Tao Chicken, and Fish with Black Bean are my favorites.
Besides the tofu, this restaurant does a damn fine job with everything else I've tried (which is basically a giant portion of the menu). Of particular note is anything made with XO sauce (no, not alcoholic - just named that way). Those dishes are mildly spicy and tangy and always worthwhile, and I will update this post with photos the next time I'm back. There's also Thai food - not sure it's authentic, but still tasty. Still though, their bread and butter (er, figuratively - I don't think they actually will serve or stock actual bread and butter) is Cantonese-style stuff like the following:
gong show :Ste-Catherine: Did I ever tell you how I feel about Chinese food? Let's me be frank (I feel like we're there) it's never my first choice. My budgie Cracker hates it. Anyway, after a long day of biking and walking around, my sister and I headed over to Kazu for dinner. We got there at 9:01 pm. It closed at 9:00 pm. Sad...so sad. I was hungry. My sister was hungry. We no longer cared what we ate. My sister suggested P.M. She said it's the only Chinese restaurant in downtown Montreal that she and her friends will eat it. When it comes to ambience and environment, a Chinese restaurant is like the average girl. You do one, you've done them all. Sorry, was that too brazen? P.M. is no different. It had the usual white table cloth and that subtle clean but unclean feeling. Nothing some tea can't fix. Service was just as quick-quick, but friendly. I ordered up my favourite dish: "gong chow how woah wow" (my Chinese friends are REELING right now...I totally butchered their language, m
