Caraïbe Delite is quite delish! Tried the jerk chicken that comes with rice and beans and a fresh little salad. You've got enough for two meals (unless you are really hungry).
Delicious chicken roti and plantains. Food is fresh and full of flavour. Bring cash no debit or credit.
The service was quick and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken roti and goat curry!
Yummy and feels Caribbean. For some reason, we are always the only people sitting down at this lovely little place. People keep streaming in and out for take-out though. Feels authentic and laid-back.
Not very hot but great balance of spices... Great curried goat with roti, delightful fried potato balls...
Great jerk chicken and chicken roti.good price too.
Small, hot, authentic, and delicious. Jerk chicken plate with bean and rice and salad is amazing. Lil neighborhood family restaurant good service.
Authentic & delicious. The instant I walked in the smells sent back to my grandfather's kitchen. The rotis are delicious and very filling and the palouris are so yummy especially with the hot sauce!
Every time I want some guyanese comfort food I head to Caraibe Delite. A definite must!
Went for the first time last night and was quite delighted. The roti was great with just the right amount of heat. The Red Stripe was nice and icy, great on a hot Montreal day. Reminds me of the Caribbean! Nice job.
Roti. Just reminiscing about the last time I was at Caraibe Delite this winter and I can't wait to return. You must start your meal off with a fruit punch and ask the owner how he makes it for a good laugh. Personally I usually go with the chicken roti, I suggest you take it with pumpkin it adds a delicious sweet taste, the jerk chicken is also great. Very reasonable and the owners make you feel like your at home.
We got the idea to go to this restaurant after reading the 'Best of MTL' in Cult (# 3 - best caribbean). What a great idea! So we headed to this tiny Guyanian restaurant on Parc Avenue on a rainy evening a couple weeks back. The place itself looks old and a tad ghetto actually. Old chairs, old tables, christmas lights, popcorn walls, posters of Guyana and fake plants were very present :p But you know what, the place itself is never (NEVER!) as important as the food. Apart from if, you know, there are bugs and shtuff. There's room for about 24 people. Anyhoot, we got in and we were the only ones in there. I believe there's 1 chef and 1 helper (the man who also welcomed us). Rum punch We got the menu and water very fast. First thing I saw on the menu (and if you know me, you'll say 'duh!') was the rum punch for... wait for it...3,50$! Well hello there! It was freshly made, had a great smooth texture and was actually very refreshing. As we were looking at the menu, we noticed that many i
The roti itself was the perfect consistency but the goat was admittedly a little under-whelming.
