Cosmos gets a 4.5 out of 5 from me because it's so damn consistent, so damn well priced, and so damn nostalgic. You go in there huddle up on one of only a handful of bar stools and get a great breakfast. Two eggs, some of the best hash browns in town, some bacon, toast, and coffee for 7 dollars. Can't really beat that.

There are plenty of fancy places to eat in Montreal, and this ain't one - but it has soul in spades. And grease. Lots of grease.
A true hole-in-the-wall, Cosmos is the kind of place you go to catch up on neighbourhood gossip and to kibbitz with the people sitting next to you at the 12 seat counter.
When you go, don't bother with the menu. Just ask the proprietor to tell you what's good - and order that. Trust me. You can't go wrong.
Amazing food. Great service. Unique atmosphere. Best coffee shop in town. All the creations are fresh and tasteful. Must-have are the fried potatoes.
My truest love. Good god I love Cosmos. 20 years of eating there and I am somehow neither obese n'or suffering from any kind of heart disease. I absolutely love this place. The staff, the food, the prices all are exceptional. To me it's home. That's all I can say.
NDG staple! It's the greasiest most grimy place and is not suited for snobs or health conscience people but if you want an overloaded, cheap, delicious breakfast/hangover cure, this is the absolute best place to go.
"At last, my love has come along...". Fellow readers, you will without exaggeration, without a doubt, have the most melt in your mouth delicious meal of your life.....I will definitely be returning. Preferably sooner than later

It's not just about the breakfast. A very colorful clientele. The cook & the waitress are loaded with character, what great personalities. If you enjoy real people you will love this place.
And, as a bonus, extremely greasy flavorful breakfast.

A Hangover Favourite. Good, cheap, greasy food. Sure there's only one carton of milk and ketchup that gets passed between every customer, but that's the charm of this place. If you expect a white table cloth, go someplace else. For an awesome weekend breakfast, check out one of Montreal's classics.
First time I went here I had no idea what to expect. Small and a little dirty inside with 8 stools along a bar that over looks the kitchen but that day I saw to open chairs for myself and my friend and felt like taking a chance. Well turns out this is some of the beat breakfast I have ever had... It is also the most fattening breakfast I have ever had, everything cooked in loads of butter you feel like your meal should come with paddles to restart your heart after but wow was that worth it. I've gone back a few times and its always good but I limit my trips back to save my health... Which my health wasn't so important so I could eat there more often lol
Great place for breakfast. I'm exploring my new neighbourhood before moving last week and went here after hearing all the hype.
I had a great and inexpensive breakfast,
My meal came on two plate. One with a couple of eggs done perfectly and some hashbrowns. The other with fried salami, bacon, ham and sausages.
The cook was the founders son! He was a real character with character! My server, Donna was great. Both of them gave a steady stream of banter that I enjoyed. I seemed to be the only one who wasn't a regular there.
I will be going back often!
The best, period.. If you dont love Cosmo's, you're probably just a bad person who has no taste. Or friends.

Nothing special, except the experience.
Definitely get their potatoes!. I definitely prefer less greasy breakfast food and would rather have bagels, waffles etc but Cosmo's is always fun for the atmosphere and great service. It's cheap and never disappoints, definitely funner in the summer when you can eat outside but winter has it's perks, especially on holidays when they offer things like free baileys for your coffee.
I can't think of a better diner-style breakfast. That I've ever had, anywhere.

Greasy, sinful, shameful food. But simply so very good. I dont go nearly enough. Hangovers beware.
If you're looking for a yummy greasy spoon, this is the place. Simple breakfast menu made quick and hot. Friendly staff full of character.
Cosmo is amazing! the food is exelent (brekfest is the best hands down) it is super classic and food is incredible small place but good food!
