Great taste and wide variety of plate and flavours. Would recommend to everyone. Not a quiet place but food il delicious! Try the Palak Chicken and the Bahi Onions!
My one of list of go-to place for good Indian cuisine. Usually I point ppl towards Chand palace. They got good starters, gravies and desserts.
The service is very decent and ambience is very good during weekends.
We love the chand! I just trekked across the city from Centre Sud on the metro to bring home take-out. Deliciously spicy, rich food, ultra-affordable. 6/10 atmosphere, but the family running the joint are very friendly so the small place is often full. Don't forget to BYOB!
The food at Chand Palace is quite good, the service is fine...the only real problem with Chand Palace is that it's not much of a Palace...the restaurant is so small and cramped. On Saturday nights the place is full, and people are almost sitting on top of each other as they try to squeeze in as many tables as they can. Hopefully they can find a bigger place to accommodate the lineup of people who really enjoy their food.
Veg thali lunch special Pro.... Veg thali lunch special
Pros:
-extremely affordable; long live the $5 thali!
-fresh Indian food
-hot naan right out of the oven
-friendly fast service
-very clean, as far as Indian restaurants of this kind go
Cons:
-tomato paneer was a bit on the sweet side
-lackluster iceberg lettuce salad
This place is a keeper. I'm making this my regular Indian stop on Jean-Talon since Pushap has fallen from grace in my books.
