Tout ce qu'on a mangé était délicieux ! Vraiment, la soupe de tortillas est un must, c'est juste trop bon. On y retourne c'est certain, la qualité et le goût sont au rendez-vous :)
Amazing food and drinks!!! I brought my one year old and staff was super nice with him!!
Delicious tacos, warm and friendly service! Bonus point for the Cheladas, who taste exactly like in Mexico !
Great place! Amazing food! And thw the owner and employees are amazing genuine people.
Excellente nourriture !!! Les tacos au poisson et au chorizo sont excellents ... et leur Salsa verde est également délicieuse !!!
Literally the best tacos I've ever had. Incredible.
Right between Mont Royal park and busy St.Laurent street, this is the perfect place for yummy authentic Mexican sandwiches and tacos. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was so delicious especially with homemade hot sauce and an ice cold cerveza.
I love this tacos place! Went there 3 times already and i suggest anyone who love tacos to try this spot at least once. Beside not having a large menu the quality of the food is good and savory.
Tacos have exploded in Montreal. There’s almost a taqueria on every corner at this point! This particular one can be found in the Plateau and I first heard about it in the Day of Gluttony: 24 Montreal Restaurants in 24 Hours video. They do take reservations, so making one isn’t a bad idea if you would rather not wait.
T&T Tacos et Tortas is located on a street corner and they have a large entrance area with the kitchen positioned right up front as well. The dining room area is towards the back and the dimly-lit room is filled with interesting local art. The vibe is very cool and fun and hip. We grabbed our seats and our server was very friendly and attentive during our visit.
The first thing that I did was order a cocktail, which they were able to make non-alcoholic for me. I always gravitate towards horchata and they serve a fun cocktail version of this, the Horchata Colada (2 1/2oz tequila, rumchata, coconut cream). Although mine didn’t contain any of the liquor items. I thought that they did a great job of providing me with a drink that was delicious and still seemed fun even though it was minus the booze. I didn’t miss the alcohol at all! The drink was cool and refreshing, and super coconutty. It wasn’t as grainy as a typical horchata but I liked that they figured out an interesting way to honour this classic beverage.
For an appetizer we started with the Guacamole (A zesty blend of avocado, tomato, lime, onion, jalapeno, served with authentic tortilla chips - $7.00 for the small size). I really loved this fresh guac! It tasted bright and fresh-made. The flavours all worked together in perfect harmony with a great acidic kick from the lime. The chips were also delicious and tasted like they had been housemade and fried to a golden perfection. This is the right way to start any Mexican meal!
While I’m more of a torta girl, we decided that trying their tacos was also of importance and picked the Pescado (Tilapia fillet breaded with panko, chipotle mayonnaise and cabbage salad and coriander - $13.85) out of their eight different taco varieties. Each portion contains four tacos with made in-house tortillas accompanied by a variety of spicy sauces, garnished with fresh onion and coriander. It would be nice if they would let you mix and match the tacos so that you can create a plate of four different kinds, but unfortunately they do not. I liked these because of how saucy they were and the tortillas definitely did taste fresh. The fish itself was a little bit lost in the crunchy batter, but I liked everything else about the bold flavours so I didn’t mind too much. I also greatly enjoyed the three spicy sauces that were provided, especially one that had a nice smoky flavour to it. Not the best fish tacos that I’ve ever had, but decently okay.
Time for some serious torta business! A torta is a Mexican-style sandwich and when done well they can be some of the most delicious food that you’ll ever taste! T&T has five different tortas available and we chose the Cochinita (Marinated pulled pork, pickled red onions and jalapenos and coriander - $9.50). This was it. This was the thing. I absolutely loved this sandwich! When I return, I will order a torta all to myself and be done with it! The warm bread tasted so fresh and pillowy-soft, yet somehow seemed a bit crusty at the same time. Everything inside the torta was absolutely bursting with incredible flavours and the hit of pickled brininess was my favourite part. The pork was juicy, tender, and so saucy and good. Everything about this was exactly everything that I wanted. I’ve had other pretty great tortas in my day, but this one is right up there.
We had a bit of room left for dessert and decided to grab the Churros ($3.50). These were small enough that they could be enjoyed and shared even after a big meal. Each golden-fried tube of dough was liberally coated in a different sauce; strawberry, chocolate, and caramel. My favourite ended up being the strawberry, which surprised me! Can’t go wrong with warm fried dough...
I would love to return to T&T so that I can try their tortilla soup. And then I’ll order a torta and share it with no one!! Out of the millions of taco shops that have opened up around town, I would say that this is one of the better ones. It’s a little bit more “high-end” then some of the little hole-in-the-wall joints, so if you’re looking for a nicer type of taco experience this is totally the place to go.
My pork torta was just melt in your mouth delicious!
Torta is a Mexican style sandwich. Sometimes I don't like sandwiches because the bread just makes everything so heavy, but this bread was so light and fluffy and the pork was so juicy and just wow! Loved it!
Tacos were quite delicious. I had the pleasure of indulging in the crispy fish tacos which were on point. What really blew me away were how authentic the tortillas were. I've done some extensive travelling through Mexico and had tortillas in various places - and this place has by far the most authentic tortillas. Service was fantastic - friendly, nice, and accommodating. The only reason this doesn't get a 5.0 is because the guacamole wasn't anything special. In fact, both me and my gf could have whipped up something similar at home.
I would definitely go back for more though! Plus, the owner is a really nice guy who goes around and makes sure everything is satisfied.
Authentic tacos! The tacos are made as they should be and the "filling" is juicy and bursting with flavor. I fully recommend this place for any taco lover, and don't forget to try the churros
In honour of yesterday's Cinco de Mayo celebrations, I decided I should tell you guys about T&T Tacos et Tortas, a cozy Mexican restaurant in the plateau. Their focus is on tacos (these need no introduction), and tortas (a Mexian style sandwich). The place itself is quaint and pretty simple in terms of décor. The excitement and flavour definitely arrive when the plates and drinks are set-down on the table in front of you.
Very good food, very cozy and small place. My friends and I enjoyed it very much but be prepared to look for a parking spot if you are driving. I will go there again
I was invited, a couple weeks back, for a 'blogger event' at T & T Tacos and Tortas on Rachel in Le Plateau. I think they've been opened for about a year and I guess they wanted some good publicity from us bloggers. I just have to say that I'm always in for that. Hint hint. I went with of my favorite people, my little cousin, who it so happens is only about 7 months younger than I am. Oh and she's taller. Little cousin my arse!
Friends of mine recently brought me to this place and I am putting it #1 on my list for tacos in this city. All the taco selections are great and you get 4 and not 3 like most places so you definitely leave full. I would also recommend the nachos and bean dip, so good!
This is our second time at this fine little eatery, and it was just as good as the first time. The home made tortilla chips are just perfectly crispy, and the bean dip with bacon and cheese was just the right appetizer. We will definitely come back again.
Amazing tacos, drinks and churros! The service and ambiance of the restaurant was also great. It can be great for a date night or casual night out with friends. Definitely recommend.
If you are going to go to T&T Tacos et Tortas, please focus on the Tortas (Milanesa was our favourite) and don’t even think about leaving without sampling the delectable churros! The laid back vibe, simplistic menu which features some star items and strong drinks, make this moderately priced hangout well suited to start your night before heading out to the many surrounding bars. Have a tequila shot for us, ¡Arriba! ¡Abajo! ¡Al centro! ….y pa’dentro!

May lack decorations, Yet the food is loaded with flavour!. Having heard about Tacos and Tortas quite a bit from both Facebook and Instagram, I've decided to try this charming little spot. The restaurant may lack colours and decorations, yet the food makes up for it in such a delicious and flavorful way. Along with superb service and a very friendly staff.
The menu is quite simple, with quite a few choices for tacos and tortas(Sandwiches) All of of their meals are loaded with a great deal of flavours, spices and a kick. The meals are presented in a simple yet very nice and casual way.
Everything is served quickly and very hot, while being freshly prepared to your taste.
Tonight we've decided to try both the tacos and the tortas, we couldn't decided which one we enjoyed more as both were truly outstanding.
To finish off our fantastic meal, we had the churros. A must have for dessert! They were tender, soft, crunchy. Again, perfect! Served with a delicious silky chocolate ganache and a so so Dulce de Leche sauce(Caramel) I would personally stick to chocolate.
Overall, this is a spot I would definitely go back to over and over again. May lack colour and decorations, surely doesn't lack ambiance, good music and outstanding food. I highly recommend it.
Best Tacos ever!. I had the fish Tacos, they were the best I had. And the Churros! Oh boy!
We had the veggie, steak and carnitas (pork) tacos. The steak was stellar while the other two were pretty good. All around the tacos were solid and I'd come back for more.
The Margharitta was not very tasty and left me a bit wanting. For $11 I expect a solid drink with more than an essence of lime and sprinkling of salt. My friends seemed happier with their Mohito and beer.
I have to admit that I kept waiting for some tortilla chips to arrive. Some home made chips would have pushed me up to an excellent for the review. It also would have filled me up a bit more as I was still hungry after my serving taco serving.
The Churros were tasty with three small pieces per serving. A nice light desert at the end.
Service was good. Everyone had day of the dead makeup on for Halloween which was fun.
All around a good choice.
Great place.. Good atmosphere and upbeat music. Tacos are good. I prefer the pastor and bistek. Not a fan of the fish taco. Next time I come I'll try the chorizo with cheese. Great bottled beer selection. Wish they had nachos or something. Will visit soon.
Great little taqueria!. Tasteful drinks served by a smiling waitress. Savory tacos and tortas accompanied by three delicious home-made salsas. The interior decor could use a little help, especially the floor that doesn't seem to fit in.
Perfect Spot for Tacos. Staff was amazing and helpful, tacos were the best I've ever had.
Amazing fresh tacos!. I loved trying out this place! A real authentic Mexican jewel, the tortillas are homemade and the three sauces that were brought as sides with the tacos were delicious and perfect to accompany them (watch out though for those who aren't tolerant to spicy, one of the sauces is extremely spicy, but the waitress warned us about it). I ordered the pulled pork tacos and my friend ordered the fish ones, both were amazing. I am definitely coming back! The mojito was also excellent.
Was really great everything was good
Excellent mexican. Delicious authentic mexican!!!
the tacos are fantastic, home made corn tortillas with fresh toppings and really well marinated meats. best mexican in the hood (closely followed by TaChido on Parc)
Drinks are slightly overpriced but really nice
Had they been 5 dollars instead of 9 I would have had 2 or 3 every time instead of 1.
churros are delicious and fried when you order, my bf loves them
The staff is really friendly and the vibe is relaxed
There hasnt been a line in the last couple of times we went and we'll go as much as possible before that happens as I am sure it will be soon
Best Tacos in Montreal. The tacos are so good here, sampled the cochinita and carnitas. Succulent pork on homeade corn tortillas, best corn tortillas I've ever had. Don't come here looking for shredded lettuce, cheese and sour cream on your tacos, this is the real deal. Add a little of the tomato salsa and habanero and you're in heaven. Make sure you try the churros as the first reviewer said, the chocolate ones are so good, slightly bitter chocolate sauce coats part of the churros not super sweet Nutella. The dough itself was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and fried perfectly with no oily feel to them. The guys running this place are very friendly too, always a plus. Will definitely be back.
