One of my favourite places in St-Henri. The service was great and the atmosphere very chic. Great menu options. I took my sister there for a treat and ordered the poutine ( delicious) fried chicken bao buns ( delicious). Would definietly return!
Although some of the food at Cho lacks a little oomph, the fusion concept is fun and the plates are nicely-presented. Save for the recent boom in izakayas and taquerias, Montreal is still lacking in happening "ethnic" eateries. In that respect, we applaud Cho for its original proposition.
Simply awesome! Everything we ate was spectacular!!! Fresh and exciting food! Taro fries are crazy good and buns are amazing! Will not fail to impress!!! And 100% peanut-free for anyone with allergies.
The food is good, but we had to wait a long time before getting our orders. A Little disappointed with the desert choices - but overall it was a great restaurant.
Yum :) but $$$. Good food, small portions for the price, but you have to expect that from a trendy place. The place wasn't fully packed when we were there on a week night at 8:30pm but service was quite slow.
Get Cho Fix is right!!. This place was amaaaaazing! It's ambiance was cool and eclectic with really nice rustic touches. I loved the tin ceiling and the grocery store conveyor bar to name a few. On top of its unique vibe, I was impressed by the food! We tried several things and they were all tasty and nicely presented. The bao buns were yum!!! you can't go wrong with whichever ones you choose, the cho poutine was original and to die for, even the edamame was surprisingly better than any edamame I've ever tried...The service was courteous and attentive too! A great new addition to the neighborhood and a definite must try...
Very cool, very very good. Flew in to meet some friends who recommended newly opened Cho. Looks like they decided to put the value into the food and décor instead of high priced rent in another part of town, but this restaurant would belong on trendy Crescent Street as well as on Notre Dame West. Décor is a mixture of rough hewn surfaces of exposed brick and wood slats along with an ancient press tinned roof. At the same time, the young entrepreneurs have given it a look and feel of young and hip. More than one generation looked comfortable dining on salads and grill. I had a fabulous Asian salad which I just have not seen before along with a bavette that was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside along with a Sapporo beer on tap. Parking is convenient since they are situated across from a daytime lot, which is a great way to avoid searching for a spot on a cold Montreal night. They have some kinks to work out as the menu is a work in progress, but it's a definite vote for value for the price.
Alex and I finally made our way over to Restaurant Cho a few weeks back to see what our new neighbor had to offer. Their menu primarily consists of Asian fusion tapas. In the end, we were really pleased with our experience at Cho and were happy to welcome them to the neighborhood.
A few weeks ago I bumped into an old friend standing in line at Wal-Mart. He mentioned to me that his brother had closed his restaurant and opened a new one with a few friends and suggested I check it out. I promised i would and we said our goodbyes as we both headed to different cashiers. Forgetting the name of the new restaurant, my best friend and I decided we had to check out Restaurant Cho. I called, booked a table for Saturday at 8pm and calmly waited for Saturday to arrive. All week I couldn’t wait to try Cho as I kept hearing how amazing the food was and seeing all kinds of delicious pictures on Instagram. We parked across the street; parking is very easy on Notre-Dame, and trekked through the snowy street to enter the packed small and stylish restaurant. We were seated by one of the owners who turned out to be our waiter as well. I know immediately that he was my friend’s brother and that we were in for a real treat. Three of us sat reading the menu while waiting for two more
