Good no no no GREAT food plus the main cook is extremely hott. El chica es Boñita mamí
Excellent authentic Venezuelan cuisine. Food is cooked fresh on the grill. Fantastic vegan options including house made vegan mayo! The Vegana is a must try.
Hidden away in a small restaurant on Saint Laurent this place is a true gem with a charming outdoor yard in the back in the summer. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always clean.
Considered by many as a rival with Arepera (around the corner) this place is the clear winner.
The best arepas ever!
This is a must stop for me anytime I'm in mtl. Arepas are made fresh and the meats are super tender, Juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Portions are solid for the price and literally everything I've tried here has been a hit.
If you've never had Venezuelan food, trying bocadillos will ensure you love it!
We got the special arepa, which was fully packed with beans, plantains, shredded beef, avocado, cheese. It was really large arepa, you have to have a knack to eat without making a mess. You order at the front and you can grab a seat, they have a cute little area at the back. It’s a tad bit expensive, but worth trying some flavorful Venezuelan food here.
Only giving it a 4/5 because 4.5 stars isn’t possible. A little on the pricier side PERO the flavors and service were great. The yucca fries were crispy and interesting for first-timers. The best part was the green garlic sauce they give with the fries and arepas. The arepas were stuffed were fresh ingredients and A LOT of them.
We finished our meal with quesillo (similar to flan). It was AMAZING and big enough to share.
I also want to give major props to the staff for speaking 3 LANGUAGES: English, Spanish, and French.
There's no paradise without arepas. These guys simply do arepas right. The arepa I ordered had adbocado, meat, plantain, beans and cheese on it and it was stuffed. Almost too much for one person to finish. I'm really glad I found such a great arepa spot in Montreal.
Arepas are naturally gluten-free so if you're looking for a great gluten free bite to eat, make sure to stop by Bocadillo.
I've walked by this place so many times without noticing it! Although slightly pricier (especially with the drink), it's a nice place to come in for a quick bite to eat. I really enjoyed the pabellón arepa (the beef was so soft and flavourful) and the yuka fries with the garlic (?) sauce. The passionfruit drink was refreshing and not too sweet! Service was alright.
I believe they also have vegan and vegetarian options!
Went here a few days ago because we were craving this cuisine and our usual place was closed. What a pleasant surprise! Delicious food, generous portions, good prices, and great service. Terrific little terrasse hidden away in the back. Definitely coming back next time I am in Montreal.
I got the pabellón deluxe arepa with yucca fries. It was amazing! The meat was so tender and flavourful. All of the toppings, avocado, beans, and cheese, worked so well together. So creamy, and slightly salty. The arepa was so packed that we could not even finish it all. It still tasted amazing the next day. I'm drooling just thinking about this arepa.
The yucca fries were an interesting alternative to french fries! However, they were slightly dry (which I think is how yucca normally is when it is deep fried). A good vessel for the green sauce they give you. I
