This place truly deserves five stars! We got two saint ambroises, an avocado toast, and the lemon pancakes with ricotta and blueberry coulis. All three dishes were out of this world!! They had stunning flavors and were presented beautifully. Every dish had hearty, fresh ingredients and a pretty good serving size. I would recommend three dishes for four people. Even the ambience was stunning! Loved the restaurants cozy, upbeat vibe including the bathrooms. After eating here, the queue that stretched across the road finally made sense!

This was one of the best brunches I have ever had. Came at about 10:15am on a Tuesday and it was just in time as soon after, a small line begun to form. My two friends and I each tried something different and all three dishes were incredible. I had the absolutely decadent Steak and Egg Benedict which was so large I could only eat half. One friend got the "Indecisive" with the Pecan French Toast and Guacamole with toast. The other got the Sweet and Savory French toast. Both were incredible in their own ways. The service was quick, kind, and professional. Loved the vibe and decor! I wish I had more time to come back!

A must for brunch! L’avenue offers breakfast/brunch foods in an upbeat restaurant. The dishes are priced fairly as they offer big portions. We waited 45 minutes outside to be seated (went on a Sunday), which is not the restaurant’s fault, however we waited another hour inside to be served. Unfortunately it seems like the place was understaffed. Would return on a week day morning.

We were celebrating my dad's birthday and brought him to l'Avenue. We got there at 9 am but there was a huge line up. We waited in line for almost an hour before getting a chance to go in. Once we were seated we were immediately given the menus and our waited asked us what we wanted to drink. We mentioned to him that it was my dad's birthday and he was so nice. We all got different types of plate, from omelettes to pancakes, and your normal american style breakfast. When our waiter came with our plates he has put a candle in my dad's waffles making it extra special. This is the type of service that really warms my heart, something taking a couple of extra minutes to make someones experience special. The ambiance was nice, it was a hip place with some great music selection. My brother was into the music and at one point he was trying to figure out the singer suddenly the waiter came by with a piece of paper. It was the bands name and title of the song. Another example of the great service and attention to detail we got. The plates were amazing, everything was great.

One of the best brunch places in Montreal that’s actually worth your money. The portions are large. A lot of the items are homemade and the vibe is super fun! American-style pancakes and French toast are the stars of the show here! But, I also love the homemade sausage and the beans. This place is super popular so get there early or be prepared to wait!

Really quirky and popular breakfast spot. Possibly one of the best eggs Benedict’s I’ve ever had. I don’t usually like sweets for breakfast but their French toast was decadent. Service is super friendly and they have a very well rounded menu. Usually places like this are over hyped but L’avenue lives up to its dialogue - must try in Montreal.

Great ambiance and service. The food was amazing, one of the best breakfast potatoes I had in a while, the portion was pretty large, i had to doggy bag my french toast and pancake, which was more than enough for the next day breakfast. Overall, great place and would certainly go back. Finding parking was a hassle given that there were so many construction works in the area.
