Both food and service was great! We had a chance to eat here after our show at Place des Arts. I ordered the rib steak, medium, and that's how it came, a nice pink colour inside. The all dressed baked potato was good but could have had a bit more butter and sour cream. My friend had the rack of ribs which was very good. My other friend had the rissotto and loved it. And my other friend had that night's special was was a trio of chicken, ribs and shrimp. For dessert I had the dulce de leche cheese cake which was worth every calorie. All in all a good meal.

Le steak combiné aux cotes levée est un agréable mélange et le filet de saumon était tous simplement sublime. Mais par dessus tous, nous avons été reçu avec un service digne d’un roi!

Wandered away from the old city and up to Bâton Rouge for dinner this evening, for a change of scenery. The restaurant was about half full, but still seemed busier.
I started out with a Garden Salad; pretty conventional. Then on to the Chipotle Jack Chicken (marinated & grilled chicken breast, Cajun spices, smoked bacon, corn salsa, chipotle mayo, Monterey Jack cheese). The chicken portion was relatively large and was slightly overdone, as were the vegetables on the side. The mild heat of the chipotle mayo did not kick in immediately, but it did add some flavour to the chicken.
Delicious!. I was very impressed with my fall-off-the-bone ribs! They were tender and divine in my mouth. I should have ordered the larger size. My other regret was that I didn't get a chance to try the mashed potatoes. The string fries were tasty and I even enjoyed the coleslaw, which is not always my favourite side dish. We ate here because it was late and the location was adjacent to the Hyatt hotel. We were not disappointed, although sitting in the bar is not our first choice. Montreal seems to love putting tables very close together and the seating at the Baton Rouge was no exception. If I do go back, I will make a reservation for a booth so that I feel like I can have private conversations with my dining partners.
My favorite restaurant in town! Service is amazing and their ribs and cote de boeuf are just mouth watering!! Mmm!!! Cant wait to go back!!
Great Lunch. Went for lunch and had a good experience. I sat out on the terrace and the service was good and the food was good and served rapidly. Even with the construction work going on across the street, the ambiance was good. It was perfect for a lunch on a work day.
Decent Ambiance if you like dark cellars, The steak was huge and portions even bigger. reasonably priced considering the tourist trap of a location.
I ordered one of my favourite meals at Bâton Rouge ... Chicken Tenders. I got them with garlic mashed potatoes (there was also bacon in them). They were delicious! I felt like having something sweet so ordered the Decadent Chocolate Walnut Brownie. It was okay ... very very sweet. Brigitte was my server and she took excellent care of me.
