C'est dur de trouver un bon restaurant apportez votre vin à juste prix ces temps-ci. Kazumi est un resto bien décoré dans l'est de la ville. Il y a une ambiance très feutrée. Il est tout seule dans sa ligue dans ce quartier. La fin de semaine, ce resto est très prisé. Il vaut mieux faire une réservation. Il y a beaucoup de choix de plats ici. On passe du sushis aux grillades. Justement, on ne savait pas quoi choisir. On a décidé d'aller avec le choix du chef: omakase à 8 services, car on est 3 personnes. Ça revient à peu près à 50$ par personne avec taxes. Le repas était quand même bon, sauf qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup de poisson cru. On a mangé beaucoup de saumon. J'ai découvert la joue de saumon. C'est pas mal. Alors, j'aurai aimé manger du sashimis et des nigiris pour bien goûter au poisson. De plus, je trouve ça dommage qu'on a terminé avec 2 sushis tempuras. Je pense que j'aurais remplacé par un dessert ou sushi dessert. Autre point que je veux souligner, je sais que le resto accorde une grande importance à la présentation de leurs plats, mais il manque un peu de finesse. Bref, c'est un resto que vous voulez aller entre amis. Apportez votre vin préféré et il n'y a pas de tracas pour le stationnement.

Went to this nice little BYOB and had the tasting menu. It was delicious. Don't be fooled by the outside (little strip mall), the inside and the food will plead you. Bonus: there's an SAQ that's opened until 22:00 so you can even run in during diner to get a second bottle ;) (guilty as charged!)
Sans doute une des meilleures places de sushis à Montreal et je dirais LA meilleure dans l'est de la ville. Je vous conseille d'amener une bouteille de la SAQ qui est presque juste à côté et vous avez un magnifique repas dans un super beau restaurant. J'ai fais mon souper de fête là-bas et tous mes amis étaient d'accord que les sushis étaient déliiiiicieux :-)
Le meilleur restaurant de sushi dans l'est de la ville. Dispendieux, certes, mais qualité et saveurs incroyables, dans le même genre que le restaurant Sho-Dan au centre-ville. Livraison disponible. J'ai commandé plusieurs spécialités et le crabe à carapace molle, qui est un incontournable. Chaudement recommandé! PS. Vous pouvez y apporter votre vin.

This place is not your typical sushi shop. From interesting
rolls that come with their own sauces (not just soya) to amazing fusion cuisine
and decadent deserts, this place is really amazing. I especially love the sushi
“fantasy” and the deep fried chocolate!
Funky decor. Friendly service. Vast selection of sushi including creative inventions from the chef. Always fresh and savory. Takeout is a great option too.
Amazing food & great service, what can you ask more !!! Harmonie specialty by itself is worth the visit!! Will visit again!!
Resto excellent! Bien au-delà de tout ce que vous pouvez espérer des sushis. Une explosion de saveurs dans la bouche. Rien n'est négligé. Belle présentation. Essayez le menu dégustation, vous ne le regretterez pas. Peut-être seulement voir à améliorer le service...un peu lent et le serveur ne vient pas assez nous voir.

Je ne sais pas ce que vous avez pris ce soir-là, si vous pouviez me fournir certaines informations de votre commande, je vais essayer de trouver ce qui s'est passé pour vous et votre femme. Si jamais vous pris une de nos spécialités nommées "Rêve d'hiver" qui pourrait provoquer votre maladie. Normalement nos serveurs expliqueront la maladie possible avec ce poisson (Escolar) si votre corps ne peut pas digérer la graisse, vous serez malade après 10 minutes, 30 minutes ou quelques heures plus tard. votre femme et vos symptomes ressemblent de Escolar. Now This is Real Japanese Fusion!. Dating a gourmet chef for 3 years was enough to give me a highly refined and critical sense of taste. That being said, Kazumi is the first real Japanese fusion I have discovered since Soto closed ten years ago on McGill street.
This place is not cheap but it's good, even great....if you know exactly what to order. The sushi was good, but the fusion dishes (known as "Kazumi's Specialities") were great. On the top of the list is the "Feuille d'Automne" which is three giant mint tempura leafs topped with tuna and mango tartar. We were both in love at first bite: delicate layers of crunchy, succulent, mouthwatering morsels from heaven. Unfortunately, the other fusion dishes we had ordered (including the very ordinary Black Cod) could not even begin to compare. The next time we came back, we ordered TWO Feuille d'Automne (one plate each) and one roll of sushi to share- and it was quite enough for a light dinner.
A word of advice, ALWAYS ask the waiter to make sure that the tempura leafs are freshly fried (rather than made the day before). Be sure to do this, and you won't be disappointed.
If I have any complaint, it is that despite it being a BYOW (with an SAAQ next door), Kazumi is pretentious and pricey- especially for its location.
Out of this world.. Ever since I live in montreal, I was introduced to Kazumi and felt in love with this resaurant. I Love everything about this place! From the food to the service and the decor... Everything is fantastic!. On two separate event I came with few friends from Toronto to have diner at Kazumi and was so impress with how awesome the quality of the food was. We love sushi and by far this is the best sushi resaurant we had ever eaten. Me and my friends are huge fans of this amazing resaurant. It's so great that I even brought a group of my fav friends to have diner the other day. They were all MUSLIM. They was afraid of all of the raw fish tales from sushi resaurants... I wanted to proved them wrong... This time I explain to Thang (the host) that we can't eat meat or anything raw... Long story short, he brought out so many diffrent varities of delious cooked sushi... I was so happy because as from that night, I was the food hero to my friends :) cheers to KAZUMI!

OH YESS...... I heard about this resto through a friend. It's really a nice sushi lougne, I love the decor and music. they have such a good selection of music. I ordered their black cod with soba noodle and wild salmon tartard.....OH Yesss.......it's a must try at Kazumi. by the way wild salmon tartard is not on the menu you have to ask waiter. I love their presentation of the plate, too. so nice . then i ordered a sushi and sashimi. the sashimi is sooo fresh and their is a piece of Japanese fois gras, oh boy first time in my life try that....i love it......their fish are sooo fresh and a lot of choices. at the end i want to have some dessert. Johnny (our waiter) recomended a chocolat tempura with vanilla ice cream, with a pot of green tea (i love their teapot and presetation with the bamnboo leave) very detail..................there are not a lot of sushi resto like this in mtl.....highly recommend it.....I had a GREAT time at Kazumi. We will be back soon with my friends and family.

Yes. Yes as in you must try this place. Small but beautiful resaurant and the food is delicious. Service and food preparation is slow, however, the food's presentation and quality make up for this minor hiccup. I went with my parter and we ordered the shrimp tempura, beef sashimi appetizers followed by the sushi/sashimi combo and chicken teriyaki. We are definately coming back.
Great ambiance, great sushi, great service! Thang is a masterful chef as well as host! You can bring your favorite bottle of wine to top it off!! This restaurant is highly recommended!!

Put your trust in Thang.. Tell the owner what styles of sushi and types of fish you like, and let him do the rest. Also tell him you want to try the black cod, which is marinated for 48 hours, grilled and served sizzling. This is my favorite sushi restaurant by far.

This restaurant is not just around the corner for us, it’s a pretty far drive but it’s so worth it! Not only is this restaurant BYOB there is a actual SAQ express (open until 10 pm 7 days a week) in the same parking lot! That’s genius! The food is always fresh and the quality is equally impressive. Order the specialty sushi, don’t go for the choices you can get in any sushi location. The presentation is outstanding, I was so happy and excited to eat it I didn’t take pictures the first time I experienced this restaurant so I had to go back!

Very consistent and always fresh, awesome specialty roles! My favorite are the lobster special, hero, fantasie and avatar. Their appetizers and tempuras are great as well, plus its a BYOB, basically touching a SAQ 😎
Taste, presentation and service are all top notch. Specialities are to die for. I would go there weekly if I could !
The sushi from Kazumi is always outstanding in term of quality, freshness, taste and decoration. Chef Thang took his time and effort to every single plates to make it perfect to customers regardless take out or dine in.
I live 30 mins away from him but never hesitate to visit his store to enjoy the high quality sushi 🍣😋😍

Best place, Ive been they’re customers for very long time. During the COVID-19, thats the place I went for the first time to have a comfort food and tasty meal. I was very happy they delivered. Now, i have moved from the CMM Island but I will definitely recommend this place for any of sushi restaurants. Thanks for your good quality fish and good services.
Xavier was wonderful and if he is your server you will have a wonderful experience, regardless their food is amazing and it will bring you back at some point
