I went for the first time, because I was closeby and needed to kill some time. What a delightful discovery! I tried one of their cold drinks, but was so taken by the ingredients and names of the other drinks, I hesitated with my order. When the waiter brought my drink, he also brought a taster of the other drink I was thinking of ordering! To top it off, the drinks were both sweet on the tastebuds and the eyes! Will definitely go back and bring friends!
Delicious tea selection. Wonderful staff. Ambient decor. Good prices for downtown
It doesn't get sweeter than this <3 Lovely staff, scrumptious food and delicious drinks!! I highly recommend checking it out ;)
Amazing place to get a tasty deserts and coffee. The customer attention very kind, thanks for your attention.
Warm and cozy, just the perfect place to be :) reasonable price as well ^__^
Love the environment, food is such a delight! Will come back for sure
Lovely ambiance and vibe in this Persian-inspired café. The lentil soup was very unusual with its pomegranate color and subtle spices. And the Persian Fragrance tisane was both beautiful to behold and taste.
Love love love it. The teas, food (avocado sandwich, potato leak soup) and the chocolate roll were amazing
One of the best cofe in Montreal my soal just fly here
The ambiance is super cozy and they make the best London fog I've ever had!
One of the best Cafe in Montreal. Very friendly staff and excellent food.
This cafe is possibly one of the coziest in Montreal. Cafe Aunja offers delicious looking Persian sweets, but the real reason to visit is the selection of tea, which you can mix & match to your liking. This time around I opted for the coffee, which was excellent. You cannot go wrong when ordering any beverage on the menu. This is a great hangout whether to catch up with friends, read the last chapters of a book or study for midterm exams.
A cozy Persian cafe, which specialize in tea. I love to go there when I need a break from coffee or late afternoon. The space is quiet, and good for studying. They have a huge collections of teas for you to mix-and-match or try their Persian Fragrance/jujube tea! Those two are my favorites :)
Cozy, friendly, very good selection of teas, nice ambience.
On my way to Myriad and Aunja changed my mind. It was mid-week and after a successful client meeting, I decided to treat myself to a myriad coffee and lunch at green panther. Funny thing happened on my way to Rue Mackay, I met Cafe Aunja on Sherbrooke West.
I walked in and was greeted by soft music, a quiet and bright space. It was perfect for me to recollect my thoughts before going on with my day. I sat down at the table looking out to the street. I quickly reviewed the complete menu on the large blackboard, kind of reminds me of Cafe Resonance but with a different atmosphere.
The server was friendly, soft spoken and kind. I ordered the Veggie Sandwich and a Melon Juice. Shortly after the blender was turned off, the melon juice arrived and was placed next to the small bouquet of lavender on the solid wood table. The juice was sweet and refreshing. Many people walked by the window after seeing the new cafe. They contemplated about going in or save it for another visit. A couple of people decided to come inside and was surprised by the great ambience.
The veggie sandwich was great. It is in no way vegetarian or vegan though since there was cheese in it. It tasted great and my appetite was satisfied by the tomato, basil and spinach patty panini.
Price point is a bit expensive but if you don't mind paying for the ambience, it is totally worthy. I haven't found many quiet gems like Cafe Aunja. I would put it at the same level with Falco and Resonance.
All in one. Gallery, photo, performance, book, coffee, and food; all in one place; there; "Cafe Aunja" Don't miss mix and match, and their specials...
Cafe Aunja is a truly hidden gem of a cafe!
As you go in you'd be surprised by the beautiful and elaborate decoration. The cafe is Persian and it offers countless savoury and sweet options to choose. All of the sandwiches and desserts were very tasty.
Great Persian inspired beverages too.
Beautiful Cafe. Explored recently
Ordered a veg sandwich filled with veges and cheese, it was delicious.
Ordered a four berry smoothie and the smoothie was excellent too, refreshing drink on very hot day in MTL.
The ambience of the Cafe is so cute. I felt I could sit there for work for long hours.
It was a quiet place to sit chat. No loud music.
Overall I loved it.
We absolutely enjoyed this place. Nice staff, good atmosphere and you can find authentic food.
The food was good (a bit much of mayo) and the drinks were delicious (change your low quality paper straws)
We very much liked the decor and ambiance.
The bathroom is in terrible shape and I think the value for money is not great. It’s a one time experience place not meant for revisiting.
Such a unique cafe/restaurant with wonderful decor and alot of details!! The Persian fog was delicious and is a must try for sure! Haven't tried the food yet but the desserts and sandwiches looked delicious 😋
Persian cafe near st Catherine’s, with beautiful decor. The drinks are so beautiful you almost feel bad drinking it ;) but oh wow they taste so good! I got the Persian fog which had pistachio, saffron syrup, milk, and black tea—highly recommend if you want something different and warm. I also tried the mango smoothie which had hints of cinnamon and turmeric —tasted like a pie and so yummy. I didn’t have any food but the sandwhiches looked good, so I’ll be coming back for sure to try some.
Lovely ambiance and decor!
I had persian paradise which I recommend 10/10 in a warm weather!
I also loved the persian fog which might be best in cold weather but I enjoyed it a bit too much even in a warm day because of the saffron flavor and creamy texture!
The ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy. I loved the decor that went into making this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! I had the most delicious roast beef that I have ever tasted. I am very picky concerning my cesar salad, but this restaurant made in on point it was so good. I also ordered their Persian paradise cold drink and it was amazingly good. It had the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Definetly going to the restaurant again for their breakfast menu.
Magnificent food and vibes. In the heart of Montreal, near McGill and by the fine arts museum we found this absolutely beautiful cafe with exquisite service and very tasty food. A genuine touch of Persian heritage in a cozy and calm environment. Definitely coming back!!
