For those looking for an elevated restaurant experience in the area, this place is a solid option. They offered up classic dishes like magret de canard and onglet de boeuf avec frites using local ingredients. I wasn’t wowed by innovation of flavours and textures for the price but everything was well prepared, the cocktails were tasty, and the service was excellent.

I went to Rose Ross with friends I hadn't seen for a while. The ambiance in the restaurant was lovely, with dim warm lights that made it a very pleasant environment to share a good bottle of wine. The food was very nice. We had the fish balls and akras balls as an appetizer, and then the beef with vegetables, chorizo-stuffed squid, and duck. All three plates were good, with the beef being a highlight. Overall, the experience was good, with the kitchen striking a delicate balance between high-end and homely. The price tag is a bit steep for it to be an every day - or every week - restaurant, but for special occasions, it is a great choice. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

It was my first visit yesterday and it was a real pleasure! The food was great and the service was impeccable! To give you an example, I ordered a beef tartare and got served a tuna tartare by mistake (which happens, nothing wrong there) the person told you something funny "You know what you do when we prepare the beef tartare? You taste the tuna tartare as well, it's on us". That was a cool reaction from the staff and a really commercial touch. I recommend this place, great discovery!

Tiny portions. Poor value. Visited late summer/early autumn. Live in the neighborhood and have been several times. I had a lamb special of the day. Not more than 2-3 oz of overcooked lamb over random veg. Partner had duck on pasta. Pasta was overcooked and sloppy. Desserts were something of a saving grace but very poor service (seemingly biased towards bigger tables) made this an unpleasant experience.

Very bad service, the servers didn't remember if they bring us the desserts. The prices are very high for a little portion. I travel a lot and got in many high class restaurants and even in Montreal I never had a such bad experience. I don't understand how people can give so high reviews. Maybe they never walk away from Masson Street to see what a good restaurant is.

Ça vaut pas la peine. We made reservations for dinner on a weeknight during Montreal à table. It's a small place and it was busy, so we thought this should be a hidden gem, given the reviews. Not so. I have never in my life waited so long to be served the tiniest portions of nothing special. And I've had the opportunity to experience several middle scale restaurants all over the city and the world. We ordered the table d'hôte here, and waited at least 30-40 mins between each course! By 10:45pm, I was falling asleep waiting for dessert. The place had thinned out, yet the serving staff spent about 20 extra minutes chatting leisurely with a customer. We had to get up and go inquire what happened to our dessert, to which they replied "Oh we forgot!". The food was about as unremarkable as the spartan decor, even though I appreciated their use of local ingredients. I have a hard time believing a 1-inch cube of boiled squash with a sprinkle of microgreens is worth $12. By the end I just wanted to leave, so I took my miniature carrot cake dessert to go, and actually had to eat another meal at home as I was still hungry (I'm usually satiated when I eat at restaurants and can't finish meals). I was also left with a disturbing impression of nepotism - there was definitely some favoritism playing out, and we were the only foreign customers in the entire place. Save your hard earned cash for a worthy restaurant. There are much better experiences in Montreal, like Bleu Caramel, Café Régine, etc.

A really lovely restaurant with great satff. The food is absolutely delicious. I has the duck and truth be told, it was cooked perfectly !! I rarely had the occasion to eat such good duck dish. Plus the homemade bread ... you have to try it ... so good !!

Une table exceptionnelle, un bistro de quartier idéal. Les accras sont divins, les gnocchis comme l'onglet de boeuf, goûteux et parfaits. Ce resto est un diamant trop peu connu!

Soirée absolument délicieuse ! Nous avons débuté par un de leurs cocktails absolument génial pour ensuite partagés deux entrées, Acra de morue et Carbonara d’oignon, à ce point nous étions déjà conquis… Par la suite, nous avons choisis tous les deux l’agneau, wow, un pur délice avec sa cuisson parfaite et un match irréprochable avec sa croute de pistache… hummm Pour les desserts, nous avons à nouveau partager le gâteau aux carottes et le chou à la crème caramel beurre de sel… SUBLIME … Quelle découverte !

sérieusement, une table exceptionnelle, à montréal et au delà. tout était suprêmement réussi, avec mention spéciale pour les choux de bruxelles (oui oui!), l'onglet de boeuf (WOW), et les canelloni au lapin. le service est affable et efficace, même si les serveurs sont à la bourre (et ils le sont). et j'aime beaucoup la salle! un espace comme un long wagon, plutôt nu mais chaleureux, où on n'est pas assourdis. une réussite.

L'équipe de Rose Ross est extraordinaire. Les repas sont exquis. Essayez les pétoncles, les raviolis ou l'échine de porc. Tout est excellent! Les desserts sont succulents. On a eu une soirée mémorable avec un grand groupe de grands et de petits. On est chanceux de les avoir dans notre quartier.

Small, unpretentious place with fresh options that are simple but inspired. We went for Sunday brunch and the restaurant was full without feeling the slightest bit overcrowded. Service was fast and friendly.

Je peux vous avouer quelque chose? J'étais fâchée et déçue lorsque La Presqu'Île avait fermé à l'automne 2016. C'était un de mes restaurants préférés. Alors je vous ai boudé et je n'ai pas voulu mettre les pieds chez vous pendant au moins un an. Mais quelle stupidité de ma part! Votre cuisine est tout simplement exquise et je m'en suis privée pour rien si longtemps. Je vous promets que je ne me priverai plus de ce plaisir ;)

Un restaurant comme on les aime, simple, accueillant et proposant une cuisine de grande qualité gastronomique, raffinée, cohérente et bien pensée. Dans ce restaurant il y a surtout de l'amour dans les assiettes et vos sens seront agréablement surpris par des combinaisons de saveurs surprenantes et uniques. La sélection des vins est tout aussi excellente. Bravo à Rose Ross et Merci !
