It must be over a decade since I’ve had breakfast at La Grand-Mère Poule and all I can remember from back then is not liking their coffee and that their washrooms made me chuckle with the unexpected sound of clucking chickens over their speakers. Now, with Shack Attakk Beaubien added to their name, I went back 3 weeks ago and they have a new soundtrack! Dining indoors, or on their patio, to the sounds of the ocean breeze with its waves and seagulls; it all matches perfectly with their surfer-vibe decor. Their washrooms downstairs are definitely worth visiting for all the creative effort they’ve put into their elaborate artwork, colours, posters and lighting.
Am glad to say that their regular brew coffee is actually quite good now!! I quite enjoyed La Grand “Mer” Poule, as they call their smoked salmon and asparagus stuffed crêpe bretonne, topped with hollandaise sauce and gratinéd cheese. I was expecting the smoked salmon that gets served with cream cheese on bagels but it was actually baked salmon; very tasty and not fishy, just as it should be. There’s lots to choose from on their vast menus for breakfast, lunch and supper. #francina_a_foodie

Some of the reviews don’t understand the time we are living in, if you look around every store, every restaurant is understaffed! You must be comprehensive when going out, and understand that now more than before may take longer to get your food!
Despite the wait time the food is delicious! This has become my bf and I favourite breakfast spot! The food is always warm and hot, and the lattes in the bowl are so good!

Great food and ambiance! Waiter very knowledgeable. We had lobster rolls and fish tacos which were awesome! Kids had hotdogs with onion ring side(sauce is insane)! A nice discovery, sure to come back again!

Long line on a Sunday (as expected) but it went by fast. Large portions and decent prices (though I find $4 a little excessive to add cheese to my eggs Benedict). I'll be back if I'm in the area.

This place should be called La Grand-Mère Attack La Shack! A perfect menu blend of both the Shack Attack and La Grand-Mere.
Food is great and the service is pretty nice. The waiters are experienced and aim to please. The ambiance is laid back and delightful, makes you feel comfy and ready to dig in on some comfort food.
The decor is tastefully done and lots of attention to detail. From the noise of the seaguls as you enter the front door to the tasty aroma dispensers throughout the venue.
Everything in this place screamed like a dysfunctional ex-girlfriend:"Come back to me, pleeeeeeeeeease!!!!" And, let me tell ya, I will... running on top of that!
Can't wait to go back and, oh yeah ... kids eat free on Sunday after 16h00! What's not to go back to?! GOOOOOO!

Do not recommend this restaurant it's overpriced the plate was bear with a little omelette and a couple of fries. the place is nicely decorated. Service was ok taking in consideration only 6 tables had clients.

This is one of my favorite places to eat, because the food is incredibly fresh and the service is always great. The only difficulty I usually have is deciding on what to eat from their extensive menu. There is a vast selection of breakfast ideas that caters to any palette including low sodium and gluten reduced diets. The ambience and background music is usually pleasent and the sound of clucking chickens in the washroom always makes me smile.

Je veux pas être déplacer mais je suis serveuse dans un resto à déjeuner , pas moyen d'avoir du café , je me suis lever moi même aller chercher du ketchup ... 17$ pour un bagel et une coupe de fruit ! Service long , tout le monde a été servie avant moi et je suis arriver avant ... vraiment déçu ...... ! Serveur complètement dépassée ... À oublier !!!

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi il y a une file d'attente pour manger la une multitude de plats qui goûtent tous la même chose rien c'est insipide quand les œufs n'ont aucun goût c'est difficile de réussir le reste je ne retournerai plus la ceux qui apprécient ce genre de nourriture n'ont probablement jamais essayé un vrai brunch

J’adore venir à votre resto et j’y viens régulièrement. Cependant, depuis peu vos saucisses semblent avoir changé et ces dernières sont vraiment moins bonnes que les anciennes. Ma mère et moi en avons pris et en les avons pas mangées tellement nous ne les avons pas aimées.

La nourriture était délicieuse malgré le prix un peu élevé. Le seul point à améliorer est que l'accompagnement de roties, il n'y en avait qu'une seule. Au moins deux serait apprécié pour chaque personne. Sinon c'était tres bon et le décor est tres accueillant.
