I've been an occasional customer since they first opened and they haven't missed a beat, everything on the menu is exceptional but the fried chicken....mmmmm. To crank it out consistently even after their small seating expansion says a lot about the passion that goes into it. Don't pass on the gumbo when it's a special of the day.

Le poulet est sublime, les tarifs abordables et en été ils vous filent un panier pour pique-niquer dans le parc en face. Une remarquable adresse et un succès pleinement mérité. Le mac and cheese est très bon aussi. Best chicken, wonderful place.

The food was amazing! The brisket was so tender I easily cut it with a fork! My three sides were hush puppies, dirty rice, and sweet potatoes! All were delicious. Our server took the time to talk with us about our visit to Montreal from Vancouver. She was fun to talk to while we were waiting for our order. We really didn't have room for dessert, but we did manage to indulge ourselves with apple pie and dulce de leche ice cream.

This is better than s*** Portions are generous and desserts are also mindblowing. The staff is absolutely lovely and service is also really fast despite how budy the place usually is!

Bonne bouffe south american style.

The food was so amazing! It could barely finish my plate. I was full for the rest of the day and night. Also, the two piece chicken with three sides is very affordable $16.

I went with my friends for last weekend, the food was delicious and truly worth the prices; the interior has a tavern-like vibes which I absolutely loved. The hospitality was amazing, kudos to the chef and the waiters. "Arnold Palmer" is a non-alcoholic drink I most recommend. Most recommended.

Best restaurant in Montreal! Whether in the summer, taking out to Jarry Park, or now in the dining room, their fried chicken always hits the spot. Finish off with one of their delicious trifles (which changes weekly) for the perfect meal.

I give it a 4.5/5. Delicious South American food, more specifically it's from the state of Kentucky. I usually prefer Korean fried chicken for the batter's crunchiness and the chicken's moistness. However, this fried chicken was also delicious. The crust isn't too thick but the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was also well marinated and seasoned! You could eat it without the sauces or gravy which were all homemade. The mac and cheese was gorgeous. My dad who isn't a fan also loved it. It has something special in it. The Popeye's biscuits were crispy and soft in the inside. They weren't too dry and had a nice garlic hint to it. They are however not my favorite. The desserts were also very good, but I preferred bagatelle Pina colada trifle to the Derby pie. Overall, the service was very nice. The restaurant was small but rustic and warm. It's best to get a reservation if you plan to arrive a little later than 18:00 but it's not necessary. The food was delicious and will definitely go back.

The subtle appearance of this modest eatery is reflected in the cuisine. Straight forward, mildly crispy drum sticks and breasts are reminiscent of a home-cooked southern style meal. With sides of your choice and a moist, buttery biscuit -it is more than meets the eye.
