This is my favorite pho restaurant. The place is very simple, no decoration , not a high:end place, but it is décent and clean. You come here for the soup / food, not for the decoration.
Busy restaurant! Decor is a a bit old and rough. Tasty soup and good quality beef especially the well cooked brisket and flank. Have choices of small, medium and big bowls. Very reasonable prices! Going to miss this pho place although there are quite some good pho restaurants in Calgary already ha ha ha...
When you're sick, you need a couple things: your mommy, Perrier, lemon and ginger tea and a good soup. This is why, when I was sick as a dsawg last week, I went for some pho. I asked my Asian persuasion friend, Jer, who, coincidentally, is in Vietnam right now, where I should head for some good pho. He mentioned that Pho Bang New York is a fave but HIS fave is Pho Bac 97.
Grilled Chicken Pho. It's pretty good pho, unlike Pho Cali which is horrible!
Very flavorful, but not as flavorful as My Cahn which is higher up saint-laurent. (favorite pho)
Oh da baby. Best pho in downtown Montreal pho sure! Such nice people who work there too!! Been going here weekly for over 3 years and have never been disappointed, would certainly recommend!
Thick slices but quite flavorful. Came here on a cold windy day and left feeling extremely grateful for the soothing hot beef noodle pho! The slices were rather thick in my opinion, but the tendons were soft and tender, ready to rip apart in your mouth, while the beef tripe was nice and chewy. The soup itself was also satisfactorily flavorful. You get a more than generous portion for a cheap price.
8/10 would come again
Great deal, caring service, and somewhat different soup in my pho experience. Delish thin rice noodles in perfection :D loved the temperature of my pho.
Great value for good food. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It is a dive, but the server was good, the food was great, and the price was decent also. I liked that the prices are all-in IE I had the medium beef Pho with a side of very hot satay sauce, which was listed as $8. I fully expected to add taxes (which are a lot in QC) but the price actually was $6.96, totaling $8 all-in! This place is also close to the hotels all around the congress centre, so is easy to get to, in the middle of a lively China town (even on a Sunday night).
Awesome Pho. I am not a Pho expert, but it is nevertheless the case that this is the best Pho I had. It is very rich, with great sides and sauces to mix it in. Very comfortable when its cold outside.
Once my dad ordered not a Pho soup here, and wasn't impressed. I have, however, only gotten the soups and all my friends love it as well.
They have a unique drink I really like called 3 colors, I recommend it.
Great yummy soup. Great place for a cheap and quick eat
Grilled chicken Pho? Yes!. I always come here for two things: their Special grilled chicken Pho, and a pair of spring rolls. I'll usually split this with a friend and we'll come out stuffed with delicious food for under 10 bucks, which is amazing! I wasn't blown away by the rest of their menu, and I still have to consider Pho Lien the king of the classic beef Pho... But their grilled chicken Pho, while not so traditional, is my favorite Pho period.
Love it everytime!! The soup tastes more authentic, A LOT of garbishes no matter which size i order, service is good and efficient. I go to this place at least once a week.
My favorite resto!. I LOVE this restaurant. My boyfriend and I go at least 3 times a month.
We always order the same thing: 1 number 1, 2 medium number 7s with extra limes.
The staff know me and my order now since I've been frequenting the restaurant for the past 5 years almost!
They're extremely kind and the food comes fast, and it is delicious every time!
Benchmark for Noodle Soups. I use the Beef Stew Noodle Soup of Pho Bac 97 as the benchmark by which I measure all other vietnamese noodle soups.
Consider this: Beef cubes are plentiful with big chunks of carrots slowly simmered in their broth. The noodle soup is accompanied by slices of lime, basil leaves and bean sprouts. The broth is intense in flavor with beef flavors and a long licorice aftertaste that lingers in your mouth. ( Add bean paste & hot pepper sauce to your likings) All this for $7.25 tax included.
