This place in Montreal is divine. The food is on another level. I mean how can you go wrong when they serve foie gras in your burger. The pasta was so good I wanted more. We also had a mimosa and a liquored coffee. So yummy
What an amazing meal. The truffle spaghetti was to die for, it was something our server recommended. The fried chicken was also super good. We split those two dishes between two people and it was enough food. It was definitely quite rich but very worth it. Smaller restaurant with few tables, super cute decor with lots of marble and brown leather. We were a walk in at 7pm on a saturday night and we lucked out to get two bar stools by the bar, but it was otherwise full so it would probably be a good idea to make a reservation. Would definitely recommend!
The good
Chicken and waffles are to die for.
Mimosas are very well balanced
Coffee is good too
The pancakes are huge a bit over-sweet.
The bad
The place does not take reservations and is usually really crowed. Lines can be as long as 1 or 2 hours.
Once in the restaurant tables are so close together it is difficult not to overhear the conversations of all the tables around you.
The ugly
Parking
Waiting times
They wont accept you if you come with your baby :(
Milkshakes. They are very liquidy almost to the consistency of a juice. Not creamy nor cold enough.
Simply delicious. Fluffly pancakes and some good chicken and waffles. The best ive had in the city, crispy chicken and soft warm waffles and i added a foie gras extra just for fun 😁. Will definitely go back the service was excellent!
Although they do not take reservations for brunch, their exquisite creations are definitely worth the wait. The foie gras burger we had was amazing and will be forever one of our fav brunch places. The place is always bustling with customers so try to find a off-peak hour to avoid the lineup. Haven't tried the dinner menu yet but based on our brunch experience, it should be amazing as well! :)
One word: amazing. Their black truffle pasta is on point; the blood orange cocktail was perfect and that brownie dessert with mascarpone cream and coffee dusting was phenomenal. Will be going back.

I’m a fan of foie gras so obviously the restaurant name had caught my eye. I have been wanting to try it for a while and went with friends to try their brunch that they offer from 10am to 3pm on the weekends. Located in St-Henri on the corner of Atwater and Notre Dame, they took over the location of a previous Belle Province. The place is not very big but the decor with hanging light fixture and a mirror wall gives it a bistro feel to it.
Often times when restaurants have a lot of hype surrounding their opening, they don’t live up to their high expectations. Foiegwa was one of those restaurants, it quickly became the new trendy spot in Montreal, Instagram was exploding with pictures of their dishes, and their speakeasy style cocktail bar next door was the newest place to see and be seen. As excited as we were to try them out, at the same time the bar was set high and we didn’t really think that they would reach it…
Impossibly cool and trendy spot that struck a chord with the Sud-Ouest yuppies. Casual French dishes are paired up with inventive cocktails, resulting in a fun, hip proposition.
Great ambiance, small menu. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is for the simple reason that If I was to go back, I would probably have the exact same thing since nothing else seemed interesting for me. That being said, their fried chicken and waffle is really good !
We went on a Sunday morning, there's less wait time if you go earlier in the morning (before 10h30). The pancakes are fluffy and the chicken waffles is delicious! Both are more on the sweet side though. Took the sausages on the side to balance it out. Enjoyed everything with a cup of mocha! Strongly recommend!
Came here for brunch on Sunday at 9:30am. There was no line and we were seated right away 😁. With all the hype around foiegwa, I was really expecting something spectacular but nothing really wowed me. Everything tasted good and the dishes were well presented. The service was also exceptional. I was expecting the truffle pasta to have a stronger truffle taste and the pasta was a little try for my taste. It was also lukewarm. The truffle and ham eggs Benedict was my favourite! We also ordered the duck eggs Benedict as the daily special which had a smokey taste which balanced well with the hollandaise. Overall good brunch and would recommend coming early if you don’t want to wait.
I don’t know how many times I’ve seen people rave on instagram about their homemade spaghetti. It’s made with butter, black truffle, Parmesan and an egg yolk and let me tell you, it’s well worth the hype! Super rich, creamy and flavourful. I would have it again. I also enjoyed the escargots served with warm bread. Overall, delicious food, friendly + attentive service, warm cozy ambiance. I would recommend!
The chicken waffle is really one of my favorite chicken waffle I’ve had in Montreal. It is the right balance of sweet and salty. The sweet maple is really good aswell. The egg Benedict is not the best. It’s good, but the less expensive places did it better. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is really nice.
Was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and food at Foiegwa. I was impressed by the perfect seasoning of each dish we ordered. We sat at the bar and enjoyed handcrafted custom cocktails and delicious food. The staff was kind enough to take extra care for my severe allergy to mushrooms and made sure my visit was safe and comfortable. We found the ambiance to be wonderful but the service both FOH and BOH really was excellent. Would highly recommend!
SOOO good, would definitely recommend to everyone about this place! If you like truffle items, then this is your place to go! The only complaint I had, was that I thought the spaghetti was a little bland but everything else definitely made up for it! The truffle fries is a MUST!!!! Be sure to make a reservation cuz the space is small, but so worth it!! The service and ambiance 10/10!!
Best night in Montreal.....this place is so popular we reserved in advance and were seated at the bar. I'm glad we were seated there as Alex (bar artist) made it interesting and fun watching the work he puts in to make his creations.....The food was absolutely delicious.....looking forward to returning during our next trip to LA Belle Province!!!!!
