Everything tasted great. The service was fast. The famous smoked meat had a more subtle flavor than I expected, but still tasty nonetheless. The cheesecake was my favorite piece of cheesecake I’ve had. The chocolate crust and topping paired really nicely with the raspberry.
When in Montréal, a visit to an institution like Reubens is a must. It was Grand Prix weekend, and to our surprise, there wasn’t a wait.
That said, shortly after we arrived, the crowds started to roll in.
Having had a smoked meat poutine for lunch, we opted for something different.

Stopped in here mid-December for lunch. The restaurant is quite large inside but was very quiet. Our server was pleasant, definitely knowledgeable about great at upselling. The reuben I ordered was quite good but the fries we under-seasoned. My $16 caesar did NOT impress. The overall experience was
Loved the authentic western vibe, food was also great. But the highlight was our server, Gregory. He was friendly, had plenty of interesting stories, and had great recommendations. Looking forward to sending him a postcard from our travels abroad!

So good. Reuben’s smoked meat is far and away the best smoked meat you can get. If you prefer, do yourself a favour and order it fatty. It melts in your mouth. The waitress was also real pleasant and friendly. This will remain my go-to place in Montreal!
We walked in a got seated. I understand there is a shortage of staff, but still waited 20 min and still only got a menu, no water.
From the menu, we noticed the price were quite high and from the plates of other tables, the plates of food were quite small.

Great place to have dinner but what stood out for me was their amazing desserts and their cheesecake. It's one of the best I've ever had. Whenever we drive by Montreal, we make it a point to go to Reuben's for dinner.
