MUST GO TO FOR MONTREAL. Definitely recommended for good reason. There are 30+ different poutines. They come in 2 sizes — regular and large. Large is honestly massive and now we have leftovers for the next 2-3 days of our trip haha. The food is amazing and the service was quick and great! I will definitely be returning

It was good but too much oily. Some potatoes were burned.
Anyway, you can eat one of the best poutines here. It has a local and friendly atmosphere too.
It was too difficult to find a parking lot.

Delicious poutine, kids menu was great because they have an option of fries or raw veggies. I got the Banquise burger and it was fresh. Overall great experience and the poutine with bacon didn’t disappoint.

Second time cause it’s good. It’s always a little chaotic because there is tons of people crowded outside so you have to know if you’re trying to sit inside and eat there or order takeout and so we talked to a lot of people in the crowd to figure out what was happening. The poutine is a lot—even the regular size. Strongly recommend La Royale for a sweet apple flavor and La Fred Caillou for a meat fest.

Love the poutine here and make sure that I visit every time I am in Montreal. The options here are extensive and suits almost every dietary preference. The drinks here are pretty expensive and wouldn't recommend those.
Only drawback are the sizes of the dish - the regular is pretty small and the large is too big, a middle option would be great!

Busy, busy, busy place, even before dinner time! We were seated after waiting maybe less than 5 minutes. The staff were welcoming and made sure to check whether we felt comfortable with French or English. It was really appreciated!
We waited about 20 minutes to get our food versus people who were sat right before us got their food much faster than our table.
All three of us ordered regular sizes. The fries were crispy, not too soggy and crowned with a generous amount of toppings. While the toppings were nice additions, they weren’t anything to write home about.
From a tourist’s perspective, this place is cool to check out once to say you’ve been there but I can’t say I’ll be craving the poutine when I return to The States.

Cultural Montreal food experience spot. Ordered one regular poutine for two and the portion was generous. Cole slaw helped with balancing the meal. May need to wait to get a table (popular Montreal food spot) but the service is quick once you are seated.

Long wait before getting a seat. Also it takes long to serve the orders. But so worth it!! Loved their ground beef poutine with Mac and cheese bites. The smoked meat poutine was delicious too.

The poutine was good, although I’ve had better and cheaper poutine elsewhere. It was also very crowded and loud. The service was okay, but our waitress was extremely rude. My friends payed by debit but had enough change to leave a cash tip, once they payed the waitress realized they didn’t leave a debit tip, she called them out and implied that they had to leave a tip saying “I can do another debit transaction for you or you can leave it on the table”. We left without leaving the tip, and will never be returning.

Ce fut ma première expérience à ce restaurant et j'ai bien aimé. Service courtois, menu varié et la poutine est vraiment excellente! On m'avait souvent parlé de la poutine à ce restaurant, et franchement, je n'ai pas été déçu!

L'attente à l'extérieur ne vaut pas la peine. Les frites ont absorbé beaucoup d'huile. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de sauce donc je ne peux pas vous dire ce quelle goûte. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de fromage. Les assiettes ne sont pas toutes égales, nous avons commandé deux régulière il y avait clairement une différence dans la quantité. Et nous sortons avec une odeur désagréable d'huile à patate. La variété de poutine est intéressante. Bref, très déçue.

Surfait!... C'est la nostalgie qui nous y a ramenés... longue attente avant et après être assis. On débarrasse ensuite vite fait pour laisser place au suivant... Mais, comme on dit: "Ça fait partie de l'expérience!" :)

La Banquise gets 4 stars for the setting, and the quality of the steak on the fries. The rest was not amazing as everyone had promised. Overall, definetly a place to visit, but would not do it more than once.

Pour aller manger des petits bouts de frites brûlés noyé dans de la sauce brune, attendre 25 minutes pour se faire servir et payer trop cher pour ce que ça vaut, c'est l'endroit par excellence.
