Excellent food and staff. The food is amazing and the entire cooking staff top notch! We sat at the bar and got to watch the chefs in action. Incredible!!! Thank you to Micheal and Hugo for making us feel so welcome! This is one of the reasons we went to Montreal and they did not disappoint!!! Can’t wait to see you all again!

If you're looking to indulge, this is the place for you. Their takes on a beef burger and mac and cheese are amazing and decadent (foie gras on everything). The duck tartar roll was also delicious and surprising, since I didn't expect any Japanese sushi style food here. I came here once over 10 years ago and it still one of my favorite places to eat. The staff was attentive, helpful, and fun to interact with. Walked in 5 minutes before our reservation and the table was ready. Our waitress Samantha helped us navigate the menu and find perfect beer pairings. Can't wait to come back to this place.

We heard about Au Pied de Cochon on a YouTube guide to Montreal, and went with high expectations which were exceeded in every possible way. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, she custom made a non alcoholic mixed drink for my pregnant wife, and all our food was prepared and plated expediently despite being nearly full. We got the chicken liver mousse stuffed maple bacon donut first. That's a lot of modifiers but they all came together to make the most incredible sweet yet savory, decadently rich appetizer. Then we had the braised pork shank with risotto, a dish for two, and were blown away with the tender and complex meaty flavors. It must have been cooking all day. Last we had the maple pie, which I'll admit wasn't my favorite dessert but still was tasty and a nice complement to some after dinner coffee. I can't recommend Au Pied de Cochon enough, and I only hope I have the opportunity to come back to Montreal for another go.

To say that it's a rich food experience is an understatement. The Foie Gras Poutine was outstanding , as was the Roquefort salad, Whelks and desserts. The special fried pig's head with stuffed lobster was as delicious as it was decadent. Definitely need 3 people to take it on. The squid ink risotto, unfortunately, was overly salty, soupy and just not good in all three of our opinions. The service was fantastic and definitely made the whole dining experience that much better.

What an experience! Obviously a well known restaurant with a lot of hype but it did not disappoint in the slightest. The foie gras nigiri was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The duck breast was perfectly cooked and the peas were so fresh and flavorful. Would come back here again and again for sure. You won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere at this restaurant - we had an immersive experience as we sat at bartop overlooking the kitchen (which was a a constant hive of activity that was fun to watch) - the hostess was lovely as she helped accommodate us given my ineptitude at finalizing the booking some weeks before. Thankfully we secured a spot! We had the porchetta, asparagus, foie gras terrine, the duck in the can, and the pudding chomeur. Wins all around. Although there are many tasty spots to try in Montreal, this one will be on my list to visit again.

The food at Au Pied de Cochon was spectacular! Everything tasted incredible, and I especially liked the Duck in a Can and the Foie Gras Poutine! The staff was kind and accommodating, but food service took quite a long time. Understanble because it was a friday night.
