The atmosphere is great, the service is impeccable. Always topping up waters and wiping your table. The food was amazing. Had raw scallops to start, duck for a main, and an amazing raspberry pistachio mousse for dessert!

I can confidently say Liverpool House is one of the most delicious places in Montreal. If I may even dare, I’d say it’s even better than its brother Joe (sorry!) We ordered quite a bit and every single dish was impeccable. I’m still dreaming about that fish. The fries were so delicious too they were memorable. I need to go back ☺️

Finally trying out the legendary, Joe Beef in Montreal. We came for one of their signature dishes, Spaghetti Howard-Lobster. It was super rich and we were surprised that the portion is ginormous. The spaghetti cooked perfectly, the sauce was delish, creamy with lots of bacon bits and chives. The star for the night is absolutely the fresh lobster. For $71, it is a reasonable price.
We also order Steak & Fries. The steak is a little bit overcooked. But if you like parmesan fries, this is for you - deliciously crisp. For us the fries are a bit too salty.
We were seated in the outdoor dining area, it was nice. The staffs are friendly. As the menu doesn’t have English version, the staff goes over it one by one. Overall, it is highly recommended to try when you’re in Montreal.
Reservation needed, as they are fully booked pretty fast even on weekdays.

Do not go for their specials!!!! $150 for a 30 day aged steak that tasted no better than a piece of low grade fresh Sirloin (pretty sure it wasn’t aged a day). They probably thought they can get away with it at the ultra low table lighting. 😀and what is up with the 1 piece of pork rib garnish???
$180 for a plate of Halibut neck meat (disappointingly mixed in with filet) although sauce tasted good but not nearly worth the price.
Seating was so tight, I swear my back had “arse burns” by the end of the whole dining experience. If you like your “fine/expensive dining experience” to feel like a loud rock and roll bar wreck? This is your overpriced cheap joint.. and be prepared to pay a minimum of 18% tip for amateur service!
Worst $800 experience!

SUMMARY:
Definitely one of the good adresses in MTL, long waitlist to get in, but better spots to try in the city in my opinion,
The GOOD:
- ambiance is lots of fun, laid back and for any vibe ( business, couple, friends)
- some plates such as lobster spaghetti, scallops and veggies really are outstanding
- selection of wine is strongly worth the detour
- all waiters are friendly
The BAD :
- prices are ridiculous in my opinion. Yes the food was good, but food + bottle of wine for 500$, not worth it in my opinion. I would recommend rather toqué, pastel or MTL plaza for similar prices.
- our chicken plate was strongly over salted, which was a bummer . Our friends who were at joe beef at the same time had the same experience with their rabbit plate.
- service was slow, probably too many waiters / table

Such a great vibe! Packed house and it felt so good. Awesome menu - we got the oysters (some of the best I’ve ever had), halibut (special), steak frites (a classic) and shared the bread + pickles. Happy to hear it was local made and the selection of wines were all natural. Great for date night or a night out with friends/family. I’ll be back for the lobster pasta!

Had the steak with Blue Cheese. All I can say is I will never have a steak like that ever again in my life! It was so exquisite and the portions were really good! A great way to start a trip to Montreal!

One of the most delicious food in Montreal area, and I don't usually choose local foods. The price is reasonable for the quality and the dining experience, and I would say it is now one of our go-to date night options.
