It’s been over 5 years since we last visited and it was just as good as I remembered it if not better. Really cozy classic atmosphere with great service from start to end. Don’t expect anything fancy here just an awesome traditional Rotisserie Chicken Meal served quick, hot and fresh for a very reasonable price. The Chicken was juicy and well cooked, the coleslaw was perfect, the fries were amazing and the sauce was piping hot and delicious too. No complaints at all when dining in here so I’d highly recommend anyone to give them a try as we’ll definitely return again ourselves next time we visit Montreal 💯
Gravy and sandwich were really quite good. With that said and not really relevant to the food - but the paper bag was incredibly high quality. I don't know who is printing these or for how much - but the colours are vibrant and extremely clean. It's the little details that really help make a restaurant stay in one's memory.
This was a must try for my Montreal visit. The best way to describe the entire dining experience is CLASSIC.
The restaurant is cozy, reminds me of the 70's. The servers were accomodating, excellent customer service.
As for the meal. I had a tiny glass of water. After the meal it was still full because I pretty much dipped every bite (chicken or fries) into the chalet sauce. Emptied both ramekins of sauce.
Overall, enjoyed the meal. You will get a full plate of fries and a very large side dish of slaw.
Just right. Cozy and comfortable. Friendly service. Good tasty chicken. Great deserts. Sandwich could use some love though. Was too dry.
I've been eating here since I'm 10 years old. It's really the best chicken you will ever eat. It's like eating St.Hubert on steroids. The chicken skin is crispy and tastes like wood charcoal. The meat falls apart. The sauce is awesome, very unique taste. The fries are the BEST fries you'll ever try. The coleslaw is the BEST coleslaw I've ever had. To finish, the carrot cake and pecan cake are to di efor.
You won't regret it and it's not expensive at all.
The good folk at Chalet have taken the concept of drowning a typical chicken sandwich in hot gravy and made a business out of since '44. It's pretty good, worth a try and the wait staff were nice
This is what good chicken delivery should be, tastey, flavorful, fresh, hot and omg amazing sauce, not the losing competitor near by with their bland, dry, and watered down sauces. Chalet all the way.
Nice vintage-style place followed by lots of chicken choices, great soup and salad are a must-to-get!!!
