Classic French food in a gorgeous dining room. This is one of my Father's favorite restaurants when he visits Montreal and he highly recommended that we check it out on our visit. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the server was incredibly fun and knowledgeable, and the ambiance was excellent. I would recommend making a reservation for the weekend to ensure you get a table since it's quite popular.

The Ambience is Romantic. The service was really fast and great. Our waiter was very nice. We had the Lobster Salad as a starter. It was fine. However, the star ⭐ of the dinner was the Duck breasts, meduim rare, which was exquisite. The meat would just melt in your mouth, and it's perfectly paired with some maple syrup sauce. We topped it off with an awesome lime pie 🥧. Very pleasant experience. Recommended.

A lovely French restaurant for a great experience, 5 stars at every level. The service was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive to details. Genevieve was very helpful and informative and made the night even better. The food was very delicious, we had the tasting menu and everything was great. A great place to have a nice dinner, highly recommended.

Incredibly delicious food here at Bonaparte. We did the tasting menu because we couldn't decide on what to get, so having a sample of several dishes was the perfect way to try everything. You can really tell that everything is made in house and extremely fresh. The mushroom ravioli was my absolute favorite, but all the other dishes were fantastic. Service was very good and attentive, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere right in Old Montreal. Prices are very fair, it's certainly not cheap but it wasn't extremely expensive either, I feel we definitely got our money's worth. Highly recommend coming here for some classic French cuisine.

Service was just excellent!! Couldn't ask for any better service. Food was overall good. We had the tasting menu. The wine pairing was excellent. Our feedback...the lobster/pasta dish was loaded with too much butter and was a bit on the salty side.

This was a TRANSCENDANT dining experience. When people talk about Montréal’s incredible food scene, they are talking about this place. My husband and I decided to go with the prix fixe (“Dégustation”) menu, and while pricey, I can say that had our stay in Montréal included only this meal and nothing else, it would have been entirely worth the trip. Easily one of the best dining experiences of my life. The smoked salmon was delicious, the crème brûlée fois gras was amazing, but the DUCK BREAST almost had me jumping up and singing hallelujah’s right there in the middle of the exceptionally French, meticulously decorated dining room. And I would be remiss not to mention George, our server, who was really more of an expert guide through the 3-hour dining tour that was our 6-course meal (we got the wine pairing option). He was delightful and so enthusiastic about every detail. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience by which you and your companions can wax nostalgic for years to come when discussing your visit to Montréal, Bonaparte is a must.

My husband and i Recently had the opportunity of visiting and dining at this exquisite 5 star restaurant. The service was impeccable 👌we started off with creative cocktails followed by an Amazing white wine (Sancerre) it was so good i can't remember the exact name) thanks to the expert recommendation of our most informative, personable and professional waiter Eric. We then opened up our palates to an array of several entrees consisting of a delicious lobster salad with hazelnut oil and maple syrup dressing (are you drooling yet) mushroom ravioli with a fresh sage sauce, beef tartare, (they disappeared before we could take a picture lol) veal chop with mushroom sauce, chicken with melted brie and sage cream, omg to die for . The finale for dessert was an apple torte a la mode and a chocolate chip soufflé ! If you are visiting the old port of Montreal and are looking for a Special place to dine, Restaurant Bonaparte will make your dining experience unforgettable .

A lovely French restaurant that is located nearby the Montreal Notre Dame; the atmosphere is very comfortable in the environment of Napoleon theme. I did not know that the restaurant is attached to a hotel, so I went to the hotel reception to check in for my restaurant reservation. Later the friendly staff redirected me to the restaurant entrance and I was seated to my table very quickly with a view of the Old Montreal Street. T There was so many options for choosing; I simply went with the 8 courses meal so that it will be easier for me and I get to try out a lot of different dishes. Similar to the drink menu so I just went with the wine pairing option to have a relaxing and easy dinner without too much thinking. The meal itself was like a roller coaster ride that takes your taste bud up and down non-stop for about two to two and a half hour with variety of item of my choice
