There is always a good reason to go out and celebrate, and Diva #2 couldn’t think of a better reason than to celebrate her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary! The family gathered at La Campagnola, a BYOW, family run restaurant in LaSalle on Dollard Ave. If you live in Ville Emard or Lasalle, there’s a very good chance you’ve eaten here at least once!
Charming place , food and service are always above average. For the price you can't go wrong, a place to try if your in or close by to Lasalle
Hidden gem in the Lasalle area, delicious and authentic. The food is amazing and for an Italian to say that, it's because this place definitely stands out. I've always had to reserve quite in advance since it's usually busy. Linguine with seafood is my fave! The meatballs are amazing, the pasta is fresh. The only negative: a little pricey. I feel like the price went up recently... an Italian who has to spend over $20 on a pasta dish, not sure I'd go as often as I used to. Highly recommend.
Probably the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at. Where do I begin....the food is INCREDIBLE. We had some antipasti, including homemade prosciutto, salami, cheeses, and figs, all were tasty and amazing. Not to mention the calamari (which were a little rubbery I'm afraid), and the exquisite salmon tartar...that was to die for. Main dish was the veal parm, which was very tasty and cooked to perfection, with the right amount of cheese on it. The homemade linguini on the side were also very good, too much in fact for me to finish. Peanut buster dessert was lovely jubbly as well, very fluffy and not too heavy. The service: absolutely incredible. I never thought it was possible to be treated so well at a restaurant. La Campagnola exceeded my expectations in this regard...example: one of us asked if it was possible to have our food doggie bagged, and the waitress was worried if our friend didn't like it! Her concern was a good example of how they care for their customers and how well thy treat them. Our waiters were on the ball the whole night, seeing to our every need and very knowledgeable of their menu. Well done for the service. Overall, this place is highly recommended and has immediately become a favorite!
Worth going out of your way. I had heard of Campagnola from a few Italian friends around the city that swear by it. When I finally went, I was not disappointed.
When you walk in, you feel like you are stepping into someones home, greeted warmly by the staff and owners. The staff were on the ball and attentive all evening.
Everything we had was great: the salumi "amuse gueule", burrata, shrimp the MASSIVE 55 day aged Tomahawk steak, even the home made bread was amazing. In fact, other than Joe Beef, I think the Tomahawk steak at Campagna is the best steak I've had in the city.... and I eat a lot of red meat.
I believe that Campagna can compete with some of the most expensive Italian places in the city and most definitely is one of if not the best BYOB in the city.
Amazing spot!
Toujourd tres bien a chaque fois! Toujours bien recu, service chaleureux!!! Luv this place
A great little hidden gem in lasalle. Italian owned and staffed, this restaurant serves great, simple Italian dishes and they do it well. The service is fantastic and to top it off, it's byow. Totally worth the trip to lasalle.
Amazing! The food was delicious best steak and lamb I've ever had. The service was equally amazing. I would highly recommend believe me it is worth the price.
Friends and I went there on a Saturday night for the first time and we were all impressed! Dino and his staff gave us great service and the food was amazing!. We recommend the Cowboy steak, cooked to perfection. Great job to all the staff. Keep up the great work!
Honestly the place is nice, but a bit overrated... that cute steak (which was good) was 42$... literally 4 bites, the waiter had shown a size twice as big when I asked if it was small... which then seemed OK but I have to say when I saw that poor tiny thing we had a good laugh and joked about it for the rest of the night... the bloody Ceasar was, to my taste, a big no... but the cheese & charcuterie platter was good and my friend said it was one of the best Ceasar salad she had in a long time.... and she eats Ceasar salad every time we go out...plus every time she can... (she is "the best" ceasar salad analyst I know!) The ossobucko thing is a pasta plate not a meat plate, if you should know... but it's a byob so two bottles later the friendliness of the waiter made us forget the bill which we paid (in full) and left knowing we won't return but thankful for the good time!!
Amazing ambiance and service! The food is delicious. Highly recommend.
I can't express how happy i am with this place! It's definitely the best food and service! The servers were super welcoming and they make us feel like home, they would answer every question with a smile on their face, they all speak english and french (some of them speak italian too), when the food got here we were amazed(i left some photos down here) the food was delicious! we ordered a steak that was the best i've ever tasted, hand made gnocchi that was spectacular and a spaggethi on a lemon sauce. For desert we ordered crème brûlé that was on point! and a plate of cannoli(it came with 3 delicious cannoli). Im extreamly thankfull for this experience, we are for sure coming back and would 100% recommend this place!(it is a little bit expensive but definitely worth it :)
La Campagnola is the best steakhouse in the city for a reason.
Hugo, our server was very personable and provided excellent service, very cool guy.
The food itself…sensational. Had the arancini, which was immaculate, very filling. Also had the tomahawk steak. Medium rare, cooked to perfection. They actually cooked it medium rare, unlike most steakhouses.
Just remember it’s BYOB. But a great time at a great spot in the city 👌🏾
Not cheap but worth the price. Everything was great. I especially liked the tiramisu. Steak and pizza were cooked perfectly as well. Great spot for a casual dinner with friends.
Ok, so great service, amazing food (best Ceasar salad I ever had) and on top of that it's BYOB! I warmly recommending this place! Maybe do a reservation to make sure you have a table it's a busy place and I understand why! Amazing place!
