Friendly staff, very accommodating. Enjoyed the draft Pumphouse beer, lobster and mussels. Everything was great and served timely even with a full house. Would definitely go again and recommend to friends.
Always a great meal ... friendly staff. The seafood linguini is the best meal in the City.
One of the best meals I have ever had. My first lobster dinner in the maritimes, hopefully many more to come. Our server was excellent from start to end, attentive and friendly. I had the pumphouse blueberry ale that was delicious. My companion had a classic martini which again was delicious. We each started with a shrimp cocktail and 1/2 dozen oysters, blue pearl, they were small but oh so yummy. We each had 11/4lb lobster dinners that were steamed to perfection and served with seasonal veggies (carrots, parsnips, broccoli and cauliflower) we both opted for no rice or potato. To end the perfect meal we had the most incredible creme brûlée ever (an insider tip from our server it is flavoured with caramel) and a Spanish coffee mmm mmm mmm. Would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone it was amazing!
Went today for a late birthday dinner. The food was quite tasty though the price point was a little high. Started with a seafood chowder and a lobster chowder which we both enjoyed (though we both liked the lobster chowder a little more and it was creamier and thicker). The pasta and "casserole" were also tasty. The only real let down was the dessert, the crepe with ice cream was a pre made frozen item and the ice cream had lost its smoothness and was crystallized. All In all the food was certainly good but the price point seemed a tad high for what we got.
Great food and nice relaxed atmosphere. The lobster jambalaya is quite impressive! Our server Chico was a riot and provided us with wonderful service.
A treat on our trip to Moncton. Myself and my partner shared the seafood platter and it was more than enough food for two people (we also enjoyed the bruschetta). Our server was charming and even gave us a complimentary desert, as it was our anniversary!
The clam steamers were incredible!
Out of this world. Superior service, unparalleled seafood and a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to any discerning gourmand. Don't miss a chance to eat here.
Best fish and chips I have ever had. I'd recommend stoping by for the lobster stuffed mushrooms as well. Any bad reviewer should take their head out of there ass.
I love this restaurent! Even if its not the most quiet restaurent in the city I like the cajun/New Orleans style atmosphere. The food is super excellant. I reccomend it.
It was a Saturday night and full, some empty tables but reserved. In no time all the tables were occupied. Thankfully we were given a table just the same.
Our dinner consists of the Fisherman’s platter which has half lobster, shrimps, scallops, breaded haddock and crab cakes. We also tried their Lobster roll. It has chunks of lobster meat on a toasted bun with mayo and celery, served with fries.
Finally we also had Rockefeller oyster. It was creamy, salty and distinctly savory.
Our meals were absolutely delicious. It was a bit pricey but was all worth it. Our server, Emilie was prompt, friendly and attentive to our needs.
Me and my wife had a great evening and we were glad to have the opportunity to eat at Catch-22.
Overall I’m rating it four spoons out of five. 🥄🥄🥄🥄
We have been traveling from Australia and have tasted the seafood delights of many Eastern Canadian restaurants. This one is up there with the best. Sooooo many dishes to choose from,. I had the scallops and then as they had my all time favorite , Escargot on the menu, I had to have them! My husband had the lobster. We then finished with seafood casserole and Spanish prawns. Absolutely delicious! The staff were amazing, our server, Nicole was wonderful, the restaurant was clean and great value! Loved it!
In love with this place. Stopped in again on our way through moncton solely for their chowder. The service, food and price were immaculate.
I got take out from this place. Overall the food was good. The lobster chowder had a decent amount of potatoes and lobster meat. The maple bacon scallop was cooked perfectly and very light hint of maple syrup that does not over power the scallops and bacon. The lobster roll was good and fries had a nice seasoning to it. Lava cake was decent, nothing over the top. Overall, the meal tasted very good. Other reviews complain about small portion, but I find it just right, especially for a seafood restaurant. Staff were also very friendly and quick to take orders. Would definitely visit again.
