I had trouble deciding on what to get. When I got there yesterday, I noticed there was more menu that there aren't photos of here so I struggled to pick lol. I regret not taking a photo of the rest of the menu to share where with you all but I forgot to. I decided on the teriyaki chicken (though I also wanted the beef lol) and the chicken was great! I rate it 4/5. It came with broccoli that was too hard to eat, I almost broke my fork a few times on it, I was hoping for it to be cooked more. I ordered noodles but ended up with side of rice. The rice was too plain for me and had no flavour whatsoever I rated it 2.5/5. I was kinda full by the time I was done so I decided on no bubble tea which I regret too haha. I would go back and try the beef lol! The prices for food they have there is fantastic but my food cost me almost 8 bucks.
Update: Its been a week since I went last but I went again today to get the teriyaki beef. I'm disappointed they always get my order wrong but the beef was good 3.5/5 and the noodle though I didn't care much for 2.5/5. The sauces for their food are too liquidy and when I picked up my food the sauce had leaked from the container all over the table. I don't care for their thin sauces they are thin like water. I was turned off by this I was hoping for thicker containers. Neither the chicken or beef tasted teriyaki.
Final update: It's been yet another week I have gone to house of pepper. This time I ordered the Shanghai chicken with noodles and satay sauce. My order was finally correct. I don't think the noodles tasted like anything 2/5 but the chicken was pretty good 3.5/5. The sauce still was thin as usual lol but the flavour wasn't bad 2.5/5. The meal was okay but I wouldn't order it again. The aftertaste was awful >_>. I don't think I would go back to house of pepper, I have gone enough and have made my overall impression. I am going to try out the other food places in the plaza and see how they turn out.
Nelson: I used to come to this mall every Saturday after Chinese classes for the food court. More often than not I would order from House of Pepper. And more often than not I would order the general tsao chicken ($5.95). Yes, it's not real Chinese food, but I do like the sweetness and spiciness of this dish. Lots of breading, maybe more than I remember, but the strong flavours are still there. I used to order it with just rice and a small soup, but this time it came with noodles instead.
Very very good and super cheap! Staff is friendly and food is quick.
Fast Food Court. Part of the food court inside the Dixie Park Centre mall. Very similar to what you would find in Market Village or Pacific Mall in Markham, prices are competitive as well. Most dishes are $8 or less and is filling.
The food court is comprised of mainly Chinese cuisine, with 1 Japanese counter and 1 Korean counter. It gets real busy on weeknights (especially Fri) between 6-8 but the food court closes at 8:30p.
Not much else is in that mall, only the food court is the most notable. House Of Pepper is a great place for those times where you need cheap, tasty, Chinese food on a whim.
One of fave local go to spots for authentic Chinese cuisine. Located in a strip mall off the beaten path in Mississauga, they never disappoint! A few of the dishes you also have to try are the salt and pepper shrimp, calamari or chicken wings. They definitely bring the heat and the portion sizes are enormous! I also recommend their Shanghai noodles. Spicy curry noodles with chicken and shrimps. They also offer a large assortment of bubble teas, the mango one is my fave! I'll be back soon!

I am back at this mall again. Yeah...another leap into the Time Machine.
Once again, this restaurant has been here since I first visited back in 1997-1998.
They offer classic HK style dishes either a la carte or in combinations ( Which comes with White Rice ). Their party trays are beyond popular !!!
Which makes perfect sense in reality because if you have a family of 4-6+ people, then ordering the party trays are a great deal.
For their selection and variety, please view the pics of their menu.
To me, it is typical and standard HK Chinese food wares here which screams familiarity and comfort food.
It is cash only....so nothing has changed because it was cash only back in 1997 already. So no big deal here.
The food is home cooked good and honest. The portions are quite generous for the price. For the amount of food vs. price ratio here in Mississauga, it is a very good deal. Unless you want to hike up to Scarborough, Markham and Richmond Hill.....you get the idea.
The service is efficient and courteous.
This a bases clearing triple into the gap in left centre field !!!
A++ experience all the way here.
First time to order food from this location. Their Yang Chow was very tasty and the beef dish we got was tender and good. Price was reasonable.
