Last week my friend took me for lunch at Applewood Fish & Chips. We ordered Wild Alaskan Halibut with Coleslaw. The fish was perfectly made, tender, delicious in a thin & crisp batter. Coleslaw was homemade, fresh & tasty. The service was fast. Highly recommend. The owners are very friendly 🙂

This place has been on my to go list for quite awhile. The other day it was actually on the way, and we were like this has to be the time we are giving it a try.
Since it was like between lunch and dinner so we ordered only a Premium Mild Halibut with fries and a large coleslaw to go.
The fish is amazing! So so so good! But the fries were a little underwhelming probably because it’s takeout. Even a neighbour said it smells great when we were in an elevator.
The only thing though is that the price is on the higher side, but I can understand you pay for what you get. The fish is really good! Coleslaw was great too.
Also love the art pieces in the store. So beautiful.

Hands down the best fish and chips place in the area. Located in Mississauga, close to central Etobicoke. Halibut is so fresh. Fries are the best! Gravy too! The portion size is excellent. The owners are very friendly and appreciative of their customers. Trust me. You won’t be disappointed.

Very clean and well maintained on the inside. Family owned and operated, very friendly and make you feel like family. The fish tastes fresh, the chips taste fresh and their creamy coleslaw is spot on. You can tell that fish and chips are their specialty.

Food 3/5 I have tried literally everything on the menu and would have to say nothing too special. Chicken breast on the menu is literally Chicken Fingers. I just did not really like the batter they use to fry everything.
Price is very reasonable. However only cash is accepted at this venue.
Overall this place gets a 3.5stars but I rounded up due to the very friendly owners.

DELICIOUS! Quick service, fair prices, big portions and crispy fish and chips. I wish the chips were a little bit seasoned and that we got lemon with the fish but overall it was a good experience. The staff was all very friendly and attentive, we will be back here when craving fish and chips! 🐟

Excellent food! Good prices, but come prepared, as they only accept cash. That's how they keep their prices down! Crispy batter on the fish and mushrooms, nice flakey fish, crispy fries, and l love their coleslaw! Friendly and fast service. Definitely one of our go-to places to eat. >^..^<

Simple food served with smile on the face .. the owner/chef was an amazing person with genrous heart .. onion rings and coleslaw was on the house .. we had Halibut and Chips .. the place only takes Cash and thats the reason i couldnt leave him a good tip hope he wont mind as next time i will make that up ... clean restaurant but not a very cozy place to sit but the customer service will really make u warm and cozy .. lot of parking and theres an atm in the convenience store nearby where the fees is 3 bucks .. i will definitely go back .. please like memy review if it helped.

Friendly small town vibe in the heart of Mississauga with such wonderful employees! I spoke with the older gentleman behind the counter and mentioned it was my first time trying them and boy was I impressed with the quality of haddock and delicious hand cut fries.. what a treat! I will definitely be back soon!

The fish portions are huge and batter so yummy! If they did chinese style chicken balls theirs would be the best hands down. Fish is tender, moist and so flavourful, not yucky fishy. We've tried a few of the supposed top 5 in Mississauga and these guys are the best. Friendly staff and clean organized operation. Congrats on a fantastic establishment!

Recently discovered this lovely restaurant! Service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is nice and the place is decorated with taste and some thought. However the star is the food. The fish and chips are wonderful. The fish is golden and never soggy. The fries are delicious. Craving good fish and chips? Look no further then this place!

I kept hearing about this place so I decided to check it out. Ordered halibut fish/chips for take out, was a little disappointed. Good portion and size of fish however fish was overcooked/dry and the fries were mostly greasy ends. I might try it again, and eat it there next time.

I've been going to Applewood fish and chips for 30+ years. I've tried fish and chips at a handful of other places over the years and nothing compares to Applewood Fish & Chips. Hands down, they've got the best home made cole slaw. Always awesome and friendly service too. Definitely "two thumbs up". ��

I have been going here for many years and the food is always excellent. I would not think of going anywhere else when I want to enjoy fish and chips. The fish is always properlycooked and reasonably priced. Today I went to pick up our traditional GOOD FRIDAY fish and chips and it was well worth the 45 mins I waited.
