This is the first time I had been to this place and been hearing a lot of good things about it that when my friend suggested it last night it was heck yes. The service was fantastic, the food was to die for, full of flavour and delicious. The Milkshake was the best Milkshake that I have ever had. Our waitress Kim was awesome and yes I will be returning and yes I highly recommend this place. #OldSchool #Bestplacetomeetup #Awesome
Went on BC day, it was quite busy but we still got a table quite quickly. It was super busy so the food took a little longer to come out but it was great food... such a big portion for the price. We took some of the food home & it was just as good reheated.
The milkshakes are some of the best I've had. The service was good, the staff had their hands full but still checked in for refills etc.
Will definitely be back... it would be great if they had some music in the diner though.

Rocko’s was chosen for a breakfast stop on the way to Harrison Hot Springs recently, we arrived about 9:30 am. It was a first time visit for us, and from pictures seen, and reviews read before our trip, we were quite anxious to check it out.
Suspect I could likely be one of only a few ‘Lower Mainlanders’ never having stopped there before, either for a beverage or meal, when in or passing through Mission, the restaurant has been there for a such good number of years. The retro-look and ambiance sure brought back many fond memories from my “early days” growing up in Vancouver, especially as a teen, when living near the many drive-ins and small diners along Kingsway at that time. The colours (especially those reds & blacks!), seating arrangements (w/booths, and chairs at service counter), memorabilia, various posters, slogans, and such on the walls, and shelves of pies, a real milkshake machine, and all - were fun to see and experience once again.
The service we received was personal, very friendly, accommodating, and attentive.
What was ordered:
- beverages: daughter’s ‘treat’ — Mom - pineapple milkshake (served in the metal ’shaker’, w/cardboard straw) — me - Clamato Caesar (bottle preparation, w/tall glass and ice) — daughter (the driver) - coffee.
- food: Mom - ‘Morning Special’, w/two eggs, sausages, hash browns, and sourdough toast — daughter - ‘Rockos House Omelette’, w/kubasa sausage (instead of ham), fresh sauteed mushrooms, cheese, and green onion, hash browns, and rye toast — me - ‘Mushroom and Cheese Omelette, w/fresh sauteed mushrooms, cheese, hash browns, and sourdough toast.
Serving sizes were generous, the food well-prepared, and tasty. We did as best we could to clear our plates, but had a little take-out to go, which joined our dinner snack in our room at the hotel in Harrison later that day.
We were happy with our choice of Rocko’s for our Mission breakfast and pit-spot that morning - it was a fun break, and we hope to do it again when we’re in the area next time. dishes and drinks, or something everyone should try here? Great food and environment her LOVE their classic grilled cheese and milkshakes, although i find the staff so slow, and their fries are just sad.
We stopped in for a quick milkshake and some fries! The kids were excited to be at one of the filming locations for "Riverdale". Great menu, super nice staff, excellent milkshakes and fries!! Very old school diner style! Love it.
24hr diner! Need I say more? They have a great selection of eats and one the of best steak and mash I've had in town! They have a great selection including great breakfast options.
Good, classic diner food, service, and ambiance. I've driven by Rocko's countless times and decided to stop in last night. I'm glad I did.
I had the meatloaf meal and it was good. Nice texture to the meatloaf; not too dense and yet still a good meat flavour.
The corn, gravy and mashed potatoes were also good.
Overall a really good meal and I will be returning do that I can try their deep fried cheesecake! Yes, deep fried cheesecake!!
This is a classic diner...exactly what you expect, the atmosphere , the food , KD man n cheese, you can even have that deep fried...mash and gravy....not great milk shakes but awesome flavors.... its open 24/7 and I appreciate that. Break up fries are my top recommendation. Go and enjoy !

OK, so it's home town diner you want? Then you got it!. GREAT place for a middle of the night meal, to hang and chat with friends or if you're just plain hungry! Glorified truck stop type of place. They serve good food, big quantity & good every day specials in rotation which is fun! I LOVE their milkshake options...everything you could ever want w/ the extra served in their mixer cup! They don't cheap out on you! You can mix any flavors you want together to make your own milkshake recipe! I always order a milkshake & I haven't ran out of creating a new recipe after 5 years! It's always fun. I love hearing the train go by when it does, reading the nickel paper, reading their art on the wall, it's a relaxed place. For the past 5 years I've noticed the staff may not seem too polite but they get the job done. I give Rocko's 5 stars simply because they keep the prices fair & we are SO lucky to have them in Mission! I always wanted to live in a small town that had an all night diner, and this is it!
Rocko’s Family Diner is an old school diner located on Lougheed Highway in Mission. From the outside, the restaurant may not look like much. It’s inside of a renovated trailer home beside the train tracks with spider webs covering the outside windows, but Rocko’s is a great hidden gem and a real authentic diner that has been operating since 1956. The restaurant is open 24 hours and they serve breakfast all day. I always fall for an all day breakfast so I ordered the skillet ($11) that comes with your choice of eggs, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, green and white onions, and cheese. I ordered my eggs scrambled and they came out light and fluffy. The mixture of everything was super satisfying. The bacon was thick and crispy and there were lots of big chunks mixed throughout. The potatoes were chunky with a crisp coating and soft on the inside. The rest of the veggies were good and helped balance out the greasy bacon and potatoes.
