Well the search is over, this is one of the best Tea Rooms my daughter and I have been too. We wanted to do something special for a Mother and Daughter Saturday outing. We had made reservations, something I would recommend. We drove up Tremaine Road, from the road you wouldn’t think it was a tea room it is a red brick house connected to the Italian Canadian Club of Milton, but on the porch of the red brick house you can see lots of flags and some English memorabilia so you know that you are at the right place. Edwina, the owner was a perfect hostess, we were seated right away and she told us about the different teas that she had to offer us. She then started us off with some fresh vegetable and a lovely dip which was made from sour cream, lemon and fresh dill from her garden. Each of us received our own pot of tea of course served with beautiful china cup and saucers. Then the amazing sandwiches arrived. At other afternoon teas that my daughter & I have visited the sandwich & dessert platter is usually very skimpy on the amount and the selection of sandwiches and dessert you receive, but NOT at The Escarpment Tea Room. The most delicious sandwich platter included: Asparagus with cream cheese, Salmon, Egg Salad, Crab with a little curry, Turkey with a lovely homemade jam, of course cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, two quiches and a two warm scones with brie cheese and another flavour of homemade jam. Then the beautiful dessert platter arrived with chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate drizzled macaroons, regular shortbread and lavender shortbreads (something Edwina was testing out and they were so good), fresh fruit and of course with scones and strawberry jam and clotted cream. My daughter and I will be coming back. We would recommend anyone to go and have afternoon tea in Milton at the Escarpment Tea Room.

The tea room reflects Edwina's sparkling personality. It is a special place to visit with delicious food and a wide ranging choice of teas. My daughter and I had a great time!
