Sunday, Sept 23, 2018 Visited again, this time with Mom. The chowder was way too hot for her but it always is. Huge portion. Too much for her but she got to take some home, which was good. I thought it looked great. I had the grilled vegetable wrap, which was great, but it was served with the most tasteless cardboard potato chips I ever had. They could definitely skip those or buy another brand. The staff, as usual, were absolutely fantastic. Friday, Sept 21, 2018 Love this place. We live in Halifax and discovered this place when we came to the area to do some hiking/bike exploring. We have been wanting to come here for ages but the hours of the restaurant are so short, we never were in town when it was open. We finally planned our day so we would be here to discover the restaurant, and were delighted with the food and service. The portions were amazing, and the food delicious. Great presentation, beautiful decorating, and lovely staff. We highly recommend this off-the-beaten-path delight.

Great setting by the river for lunch. The restaurant has big windows that let a lot of natural light in. And the view outside is fantastic. Very relaxed atmosphere inside and very clean. The seafood chowder is really good!

I have been coming here since they reopened at the end of June.... anyways since they re opened as per the covid restrictions. WE LOVE LOVE this place and the people that work here. We normally come in for breakfast on the weekends. This past Sunday Aug 8th our guest wanted to go back, because lets face it the food is amazing, so i called ahead to reserve a table and to see who was in the café serving... we arrived at 9:30am and let me tell you it was like we had remembered it from our previous weekend breakfast. we were greeted with a spunk and the sense of "come on in i cant wait to serve you guys" kind of attitude. This young lady... man i am bad with names wish i got her name..... we noticed that she wiped all the Charis down at the tables that were finished and the sides/edges of the table which is extremely important these days. i even went in to the store, to tell them that she is AMAZING and a keeper!! we LOVE LOVE LOVE the general store!!!! but yes we will continue to call ahead to see whom is in the café before we head over.

The Riverbank not only has great baked goods but the heat at home meals are delicious as well. They also have a gift shop on site which I always enjoy looking through. Also a lovely view when dining in.

Small restaurant staffed by challenged adults. Very tasty but limited menu. Service is great. An incredible view of the river. An old fashioned ice cream parlour. Local crafts and eats are sold here. Highly recommended. Hours are 10 to 6 every day. Menu usually has a homemade soup of the day combined with sandwich. The store also has local crafts and produce for sale. A day trip you won’t regret. The drive along the Medway River feels nostalgic even if you’re not from the area.

Not only terrific food - but a handy local store for essentials plus extras in the tiny Mill Village. What a find. Great destination for a weekend excursion from the city. Good food - great view - reasonable prices.
