Although I grew up in Medicine Hat, I'd never been here until now - which is strange, since it's the oldest continually operating restaurant in town. What a gem. This is a genuine local place, and you get food and service to match. Unlike chains, this is the kind of place where the people who run it love being there - and that really comes through. It's not fancy - it's solid, hearty and fun - and the price is right! $8.50 for an early-bird special (7-10 AM) which I couldn't get through, it was so much. Highly highly recommended!

They make a delicious taco salad servedby a waitress with a dry sense of humor! She is hilarious! Fridays are Flapper Pie days! Love this place!
