A truly authentic Italian experience. Easily the most delicious pasta I have ever had. Excellent service. All around good people making delicious food. Fran even came out to say hello! It was a treat. ❤️
Wow. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Meafor/Collingwood area.
The food is fantastic. The calamari was delicious and paired with a yummy salad.
We had a great evening July 22 at their front patio.
On top of great food the staff is super nice. Our server and the owner really took care of us.

This woman can cook! Sauces with incredible depth, fresh local ingredients, a menu for discerning palates. Accommodated my husband with an Alfredo sauce that was rich and fresh without being cloyingly heavy all wrapped up with an espresso that sent us right back to Italy. Reason enough to visit Meaford.
Located in the heart of Meaford, a quaint and charming town on the southern shores of Georgian Bay (Just under 30mins west on Hwy 26 from Collingwood). Walking distance if you arrive by boat in the marina. Franny (owner and chef extraordinaire) has an incredible menu and serves fantastic fresh Italian dishes. The focaccia and the antipasto are my favourite starters. The staff are friendly and professional. Her menu is updated and posted regularly on her Instagram account (gioandfrans). At the front the restaurant is a market counter where you can purchase olives, tomato preserves and frozen entrees (lasagna is amazing). Support a small local business and an incredible female entrepreneur and you will not be disappointed!
You have to eat here. Fran is absolutely fabulous. She will greet you at the door,before making her way into the kitchen to make you a fabulous meal. Down to earth and welcoming, you can’t beat this place.
This space captured my heart. As someone who is passionate about food, hospitality and authentic experiences Gio and Fran's is on the top of my list. Fran is a total wizard in the kitchen whipping up dishes I haven't had in a long time from my childhood. She greeted myself and my boyfriend personally, her daughter Sophie was serving us and instantly we made new friends. For the first time in a long time I stayed for a while after my meal was done to enjoy the ambiance, beautiful wine and good conversion. There is question that I'll not only be returning, but bringing FRIENDS!

Absolutely worth the drive up from the Blue Mountain area. The food is creative and very much homemade. The menu is on the blackboard. Our favourites this evening were the fig and gorgonzola appetizer and the duck risotto.
