D's Chips

With the end of food truck season approaching, I wanted to provide an official review for D's Chips from a well traveled poutine foodie. I didn't know what to expect from D's Chips when my boyfriend and I stopped in after a 7 hour trek. However, my expectations were surpassed easily. Upon pulling in to D's chips, the first thing we noticed was the ample room for parking. Second, we saw several outdoor eating spots that were shaded. Finally, after taking in the attractive colours of the food truck, we could immediately tell who the owners were. They were passionate, caring and helpful with our service. We were at a loss for choosing what to order, so we ended up trying most things! The appetizers including the deep fried dill pickles, mozza sticks, and jalapeno poppers were to die for. We all know though that a food truck needs to live up to its poutine, and I can confidently say that D's Chips has the best poutine in all of Ontario, quite possibly, Canada. They use real cheese curds, and have the option of choosing regular cheese curds, dill cheese curds, or half and half for those who are indecisive ;). They also give you an ample amount of curd with the perfect gravy ratio. For a personal touch, D's Chips have unique fork/napkin arrangements, all tied together with a special sticker-making them a great catering option for a wedding. What kind of food truck can you expect to see the owners working at- and if you are as lucky as we were- having the chance to eat with them and talk about their products? D's Chips of course!
