Review Millie Cafe - Markham

Sorry these are not the best pictures but I was so excited to try these! We had the matcha and earl grey. Hands down, the earl grey is their most popular flavour and it's clear why, it is honestly so tasty. Every layer of crepe you slice through with your fork you can feel it. Just be aware if you're lactose sensitive [like me] there are layers of cream in between each crepe which your tummy might not like. The matcha was delicious as well but I prefer the earl grey, I would try the vanilla bean. It's a small shop with seating and they also serve gelato. The price is "high" in terms of getting a slice of cake but considering the amount of work that gets put into making one, I think it's worth a try!

Millie crêperie and pâtisserie finally opened a location in Markham! Shared a rainbow crepe cake (only available at Markham location), black sesame cake and a pot of heavenly cream sloane tea. The cakes were delicious, I especially liked the black sesame one. Rainbow crepe cake was beautiful. I was unsure of the flavour, the staff claimed it was"unicorn flavour". Still tasted great though. I'd highly recommend to go here for a chat with friends or for afternoon tea / dessert.

Really nice cafe to meet a friend and chat in. Had the tirimisu crepe cake and it was fantastic. They also serve expression, Sloane tea, and gelato.

Awesome desserts and Sloane teas options. The unique tea cups and modern ambience is very fancy and great for photos.

Love the cakes from here especially the crepe cakes! I'd say the Millie chain does the best crepe cakes in the city. They are pricey but they're worth it.

Chic looking place, delicious crepe cakes and a few tables for a casual chat. A bunch of us tried most of the varieties and they're all delicious. Our favourite was the Earl Grey with a natural intense tea flavour. Very reasonably priced, some places (ahem chatime) charges the same for mass-produced BBT of lesser quality. Cakes were very light on palate so you don't feel bloated afterwards. Nice and balanced. Staff are courteous. Atmosphere was NOT pertentious but relaxing and casual. Maybe I'm not an overly critical IG foodie but as normal ppl, we loved it. Definitely visit if you liked the downtown locations.

We got the matcha green tea latte and the match layered cake. The layered cake was pretty good and I enjoyed it a lot. The latte was not too sweet which I liked a lot as I tend towards less or no sugar for all my drinks.

Got 4 different slices: tiramisu, original (vanilla), earl grey, and green tea. The original one is the best in my opinion, the others were a bit too strong in flavour. The earl grey can't compare to lady M's version though.

Tried the yuzu hoji-cha cake, strawberry souffle and crepe cakes. Definitely like the crepe cakes more! The souffle cake wasn't very fluffy and the yuzu wasn't very strong in hoji-cha cake. All their gelato flavours taste like what they say they are! The decor here is very quaint and they have about 4 tables for seating.

Their ice cream is pretty nice, I tried chocolate and black saseme and they have rich flavors. Green tea latte is good . Environment is nice, too.

minimalist design. Japanese style boutique cafe. Earl Grey Crepe Cake is great.

Matcha Crepe Cake is simply amazing !!! If you like Matcha - I strongly recommend it . It is that good. The Matcha flavour and the light cream - blend in extremely well. Friendly staff. Great place to drop in to have dessert.

tried 2 kinds of crepe cake(Charcoal & Earl Grey) , not too sweet, rich & creamy. I will go back to try the signature Matcha Crepe cake next time

Cute little cafe in Markham with some unique crepe cakes. I enjoyed the matcha cheese tart and the rainbow crepe cake.

I found some of the prices a little steep like the rainbow crepe cake which was almost $9 a slice.

They also have no wifi which is another downer for this place but they're bathroom is pretty fancy looking.

Very pretty cafe, but I think, just based on my personal preference, I don't enjoy crepe cake - it's too slimey and honestly, I feel like I'm just eating cream. I'd rather have a very solid piece of cake.

The first thing that I noticed upon peeling off the plastic sheet that wrapped around each slice of the cake was that the pastry cream between each crepe layer was already melting and mushed up. I was not impressed about that. I remember that the Mille Crêpe cakes at the Kensington Market location were kept inside an air-tight fridge and that paper sheets were used to separate each slice. Perhaps by using plastic in a not-so-airtight refrigerator, the pastry cream had managed to melt. In other words, I think that their refrigerator is not cold enough!

Millie Cafe is the most recent outpost of the beloved Kensington crepe house. Viewed as an expansion of the Patisserie & Creamery at King and Charlotte, the venture is more spacious and delicate-looking than the downtown location featuring chandelier-type lighting in both the general area and beautifully-decorated bathroom.

We were warmly greeted upon entering and patiently waited upon for our minds to be made up.

Between gelato cookie sandwiches, Sloane teas, and a plethora of delectable desserts, the items that caught my attention were, in fact, the Candy Cane Chocolate Mint and Rainbow Mille Crepe Cakes. My past experiences with the layered specimens weren't mindblowing by any means, so I kept my standards low while choosing the candy cane-topped creation over the N9 style specimen.
