Was just getting a takeout dessert. The female staff who greeted me was really friendly & helpful. Forgot to note her name but we were there around 6pm and she was there to wave us over first thing we got inside & greeted us with a nice big smile...helpful & courteous service is the number one reason I return to patron any business. Doesn’t hurt that their shaved ice are absolutely amazing 👍
慰勞懷念家鄉味的我!!下次鍋燒麵的麵可以不要煮嗎?有點爛爛的
It was answer,I'm very miss hometown taste.
I tried the red bean milk tea with grass jelly and the lemond yogourt drink.....they were great!!! My children love the drinks ^.^
I love cha me cha. not only do they have yummy shaved ice but they also have a wide range of food to eat for lunch or dinner.
I love the Taiwanese noodle soup. Ota so good and love how things the noodles are.
the shave ice is good enough for 2 to 3 people to share
Good for: afternoon snack
What did I order: cha me sausage in braised pork belly rice set, crispy chicken, and their famous shaved ice - green tea wizard with red bean, tapioca, grass jelly, and condensed milk
Thoughts: the pork belly was sooo good! However I didn't love the overall dish itself. The crispy chicken is an essential!! Very crispy and not too oily- yum! And my favourite is their shaved ice. It was sooo delicious, everything combined made it the perfect dessert.
Atmosphere: it was good and place was clean
Service: a little slow and they forgot my drink a few times
Price of each dish: $9.5, $6, $7 respectively
Drove out of my way here to have some shaved ice ..was it ever worth the drive! The place was packed and the atmosphere was lively. They have quite a lot of items on the menu and most of them affordable and looks quite appetizing. Me and my partner ordered the mango tango shaved ice and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken to share. Chicken was a big portion, so flavorful and crisp.. I could've probably ordered another one but I just settled to eating the crumbs at the end. The shaved ice was so good with the ice cream and condensed milk on the top and the mango jelly instead. I got so excited even tho it was below freezing point outside. It's a good place to take and hang out with friends even if it was quite the drive. Service was efficient, food was good. Would come back again.
LOVE the drinks here! I've tried many of their "must-try"s and they don't disappoint. Some of my faves include the condensed milk brick toast, sausage & minced pork rice, and mango tango snow ice. My all-time favourite drink here is the cereal malt milk tea with pudding, but many of their drinks are worth a try! The menu is very extensive and you'll always find something new to satisfy your tummy and tastebuds. The cafe can get quite busy so be prepared to wait in line for a bit.
The popcorn chicken were in bigger pieces than I expected (or desire). I found that one basket of popcorn chicken was seasoned better than the other one — one was little bit saltier, which I liked. Overall though, I didn’t love the way they prepared their popcorn chicken (I am a popcorn chicken fanatic) because I found that the pieces were too big and it seemed like I was eating small versions of chicken nuggets instead of eating popcorn chicken.
Stopped in for some afternoon 'snack' and there were lots of empty spots. This place is normally packed in the evenings so its best to go during the afternoons. They also have a special from 3pm-5pm..order any Brick Toast and get a drink for 1/2 price. Which is exactly what I ordered - Brick Toast with Condensed Milk and Milk Tea with Green Jelly! It was delicious! We also shared a green tea shaved ice and strawberry shaved ice! Both are very delicious flavour! The kids had strawberries and the adults had the greentea that came with tapioca and Condensed Milk along with red beans! Great place to chill and have some great desserts. Will have to try their food next time!
Time for dessert! This is one place I enjoy going if you suddenly crave something cold! Their store specialty is snow ice sprinkled with juice bubbles and syrup. To this date, I’ve only visited Cha Me Cha twice and ate two different flavours of snow ice alongside other hot snacks. Also, this restaurant may be slightly more difficult to locate as it’s inside the newer T&T supermarket plaza/mall. The best location to park is near the end zones within the parking lot.
The restaurant is pretty spacious, clean, and brightly lit. Great impression when we stepped in. The place was housing a kids birthday party when we stepped in though so there was a little wait to get a table.
Ordered the braised pork belly dinner special ($10 incl. drink), crispy chicken dinner special, and the basil chicken with rice. Large portions and good value for your money (def better value than Ten Ren's)! The popcorn chicken was ok, could have been better seasoned with juicier insides, and the basil chicken could have had larger pieces of chicken.
For dessert we had the fresh mango shaved ice ($10) and it was surprisingly good! The shaved ice is shaved so fine that it is like fresh snow with a bit of a gelato taste, and the mango with sweet sauce mixes perfectly. The day is definitely the highlight of the meal and we ask agreed we would come back just for that.
Also a pleasant surprise is the free pack of mini Mochi with our dinner of more than $20.
Love their Dinner Special, between 6-8pm. I have been there 4 times and everyone I brought there loves it. Great price, great food, and great quantity. Every time I get the Dinner Special, I always have half the portion + dessert (pudding) to pack away. Must request for the Jasmine Tea jello for the dessert option.
The restaurant is in the same plaza as T&T supermarket, so it’s pretty easy to find parking. Inside, you’ll find dark walls, hanging light fixtures and a refined taste in décor compared to a lot of Chinese cafes. Their menu focuses on afternoon tea and late night snacks. You’ll find lists of flavoured tea options, shaved ice, milk tea, snacks and a few main dishes. I came here with my family, grandparents, aunt and uncle. We ordered quite a bit: fried chicken wings, red sausages, bowls of noodles, a plated of fried pork chop and rice, a few brick toasts and a few drinks. Pork Dinner Noodles The hot dishes came out pretty quickly, but surprisingly, we waited a while for the brick toast. Anything that was deep fried was very different than what I’ve had before. Noodles in Tomato Base Soup Chinese Red Sausage The batter or the crust was super crunchy and deliciously flavoured. Next time I’ll check out the shaved ice and other desserts on the menu. It also seems like it would be a great place to do some school work or to kill time. Nice, chill environment. Milk Tea
Nice ambience.
I see a lot of people order the shaved ice. But the waffle really caught my eye.
Ordered a sesame thick toast and waffle.
The toaste is crispy but the sesame spread is just OK. I was expecting a stronger aroma and black sesame taste.
The waffle shape itself looks fantastic.
You have to DIY your own waffle.
I love the idea of putting the fruits and ice cream seperately. So the waffle stays crispy even if u r on intense conversation with friends or taking too long to take photos and post them on instegram.
Teas are very good.
Size is good. Not too much ice.
We were there around 5:40pm. Saw a line up around 6:15pm. Their dinner special looks amazing in photos too. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
Service is OK. Nothing bad, nothing fantastic.
One thing I want to comment is their chairs. They are comfortable.
A couple of weeks back I went to Cha Me Cha with some friends for a late dinner. We had intended to get there for their $10 dinner special and made it in just on time with about 2 minutes to spare. The cashier was pleasant and allowed us to place our order before having us seated (phewf!) so that we'd still be able to take advantage of the special.
We all ordered the popcorn chicken, noodles with the egg and had a tea on the side. For that price.
The popcorn chicken was well flavored and wasn't overly salty. There wasn't too much breading on it as well and there were actual chunks of chicken inside as opposed to little tidbits.
The noodles were a little bit bland, but when eaten with the tea egg it tasted alright. There was one giant bok choy stalk in the bowl as well to provide for veggies, but the broth itself wasn't overly flavored. I'd recommend sprinkling in some salt for your personal flavoring.
The tea that I ordered was a lychee peach (if I remember correctly) and it tasted friggin amazing. Easily the best thing in the special and I'd go back just to get it again.
Overall the special was logically portioned and we were all extremely full with take out boxes at the end of the night. However I highly recommend order the sausages as a side dish to throw in along with the noodles to add some flavor to the bowl.
